X Factor girlbands never do well
Remember Hope from last year?
Exactly! They were touted as the next best thing, and where are they now? These groups seem to think the minute they make the live finals, they've actually made it! When in fact, this is just the beginning! Their heads start getting bigger, their humbling nature disappears etc! Its already started...Girlband have already started arguing amongst themselves...so them singing that Dionne Warwick song last night, was just, laughable. IMO they should remain the most humbled of all the contestants as they know its mainly teenage girls that are voting, so their is a lot of angst and envy flying around... Which is why I don't think girl bands will ever be successful from a format like this. Cheryl should count her lucky stars she came up when she did as the format was relatively new...but most people are reality-tv savvy now, so its a lot harder to be accepted by a TV audience - particularly for girls... It takes a brave person to want to be in the music industry these days...seems like a very tough arena to be in.... We build them up to knock them down! The way it is! |
