http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...archtype=genre Is the Bravia THAT much better? I understand Sony and Pan are considered the best (right?) so why is the Bravia so much more P.s. reason im asking is cause looking to get a TV and figure 1080p is future proof, but not exactly rolling in it |

I'd say the Panasonic is better, in fact. Except for rather clunky remote interface, it's excellent.

Thats also a pretty steep price on the Sony.
Richer Sounds sell exactly the same set for £630. http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/...SONY-KDL32W400 And thats on the high street as well ...... ** EDIT ** RS also undercut them (only by £30 this time) on the Panasonic .... http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/...PANA-TX32LZD80 |

think you need also to decide on a SIZE as well
40" or 42" are good sizes and not too dominating |

I simply googled 32" 1080p and this site looks good however 24 fps is also to be considered as well as HDMI connections http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/d...FXU&fullspec=F the samsung seems ok but 24 fps?? |

clunky is input selection. I hate them for it, but admit everything else is good. But then I spend a fair bit of time programming universal remotes, and vieras of a
any sort are a pain in the botty to do. For Joe average, not a big issue, but why do they not just put a button on the remote labelled 'input 3'? |

Also .... now that I think about it .....
If John Lewis stock either of the two TV's the OP first linked to, they should price match them against Richer Sounds prices ...... so you'd get a 5 year warranty thrown in for free in that case I believe? |

not bought sony ever since. with the Bravias, i think when they first came out Sony copped a bit of flack for not being as good as they once were, but i think now they've supposedly improved them a lot. Iain |

one of the reasons i haven't been allowed to invest in a shiny new LCD HD tv is because our 11 year old Sony Wega is still going strong.

We sell a LOT of Sony, and I mean a LOT - plus we do the service on them as well, and they have been exceptionally reliable sets. |
