Really liked the bottom 2 having to sing a different song twist, as it was unexpected and allowed us to see the acts do something different

also it means the audience don't have to sit through a painful performance twice! so well done the producers.

Yes, I agree. It's a very good decision because it means that whatever happens they get a second chance to show off their talent. If they perform badly with two different songs, chances are it's them, and not the song.

I liked that twist too, gives the performer a chance if their mentor has royally shafted them with the song choice - would've been interesting to see Scott's choice.

yeh, I was surprised that they were singing a different song but it's good as we can see how they really react to being in the bottom two.

Yes! I really liked the twist this year. Great decision. Allows us to see more from the contestants and they won't be merely repeating the same routine etc.

I liked this too - if the bottom two acts have any sense, they'll use the opportunity to choose a song that they know they sing really well and give themselves a better chance of staying in the competition. It certainly makes the 'sing-off' a bit more enjoyable rather than having to listen to a dreadful performance twice.

it's definitely a good idea it makes the results show seem less dragged out too! because before seeing the highlights at the start of the show, then them singing it again was a bit boring!

The twist is excellent because quite often the bottom acts are there entirely because of moronic song selection. It also means they just stand there and sing rather than have to jump around like demented monkies performing 'creative' director Brian Friedman's 'routines' so we can see and hear the real them. If it genuinely is their own choice then this will be something they can put their heart into rather being forced to sing Abba or Cliff Richard or some other ancient cheese that is not their bag and whatever happens they will go out on a highly personal note.

Two words you rarely hear on the BB forums these days

I thought it was a great addition, the act getting to chose and prove themselves.
