It was actually embarrasing to watch. He was completley out of his depth, was given an awful song but it was still quite clear he should not have gotten this far. I actually really do think it was the worst performance in X-Factor history.

I'm gonna get abused for this, but it reminded me a bit of some of Leon's performances last year.

It reminded me of leons FIRST performance. At the end of the day it's all down to the song choice & the fact that it was the first live show so he was bound to be nervous aswell.

i love Leon to pieces but Scotts performance certainly echoed Leons first performance last year.
Ive listened to the mp3 of Scotts song and actually his vocals are good. The song choice and the arrangement were just appalling and that is not Scotts fault. The performance itself was not too bad - I thought Rachels was far worse

I could hardly hear Scott. He needs another chance to prove himself. He was crushed....I felt for him. At least Simon admitted he was wrong.

What I would say is that I found Daniel much worse.

Yeah in Leons first performance he was out of time and looked incredibly awkward on stage, but you could still at least hear that there was a strong vocal potential there. Scott failed on every level. I saw no potential.

Difference. Leon had a good song choice and was awful, Scott had an awful song choice and was good.

I found that with most of the performances last night (well, except fo rthe belters, obviously). The sound control was awful, and it was the same last year. Why don't they sort it out, they must get enough complaints!

I just downloaded Scott's performance on MP3 and I have to agree that his vocals wern't actually as bad as everyones saying! I thought Rachel AND Daniel were far worse!

Was awful, but it wasn't the worst of the whole night.

I'm beginning to have a horrible feeling he will go on to win

He should have been eliminated. It's actually a disgrace that he not only survived last night, but he managed to stay out of the bottom 2.

If he was in the bottom 2 I reckon he wouldn't've gone still because at that point he would've picked his OWN song & have been a lot better! It was completely Simons fault & there is no one else to blame for it.

I'm personally very glad Scott wasn't in the bottom two, but there may have been entertainment value in showing Simon up with the song he chose himself.

I don't think Scott should have been eliminated. Daniel should have. Scott's performance was too quiet, too manic, too mobile - had he stood still, it may have worked better. Thankfully the public ignored the errors and voted for his potential.

Scott had an awful song, plus there was an obvious tweeking of the sound levels..cue puzzled Louis face..lord XF is so transparent at times, it was all so planned and scripted.

Poor Scott. He was given a rotten song to sing and thankfully people saw past that. The silly routine was cringeworthy.

If Scott was on a west end show, then it would have been great for him. But, the actual song choice didn't seem to match the competition at all. Poor Scott for having been made to look stupid for saying he has trust in Simon and just went ahead with it. It must make him look like an idiot. Of course of which he is not.

I thought him saying that reflected quite well on him tbh. Simon looked more like the idiot than Scott IMO, for picking such a crap song. Simon owes him one.

It reminded me of Leon on his first live show too. Both Leon and Scott were given terrible songs to sing and both had to do that damn awful choreography from that horrible Brian Friedman (who really should be sacked).
