Before the first live show, I had no real view on Girlband and was always getting them mixed up with Bad Lashes. Then I saw the makeovers they got and thought what a beautiful bunch of women they were.

Their first performance of Venus didnt set the world alight but it was a perfect performance of the song, they looked great and had a fun dance routine.

I was actually surprised they got bottom two after how bad at least four of the other acts were (although I should not have been surprised the way the public vote). Their vocals and harmonys are fantastic. A real good mix of voices that gel together beautifully. The girl with the blonde hair has a deep, powerful, velvety voice. The other three have really nice tones to their voices as well. A couple of times, the hairs on my arms stood up. Really powerful performance. You can see the blonde girl giving it her all towards the end.

It's a shame because I know they won't last long. They are easily the best girl group thats ever been on the show. They are not the usual skinny stick, half naked group that girls tend to hate either so I can't see why the public would not want to take them into their hearts. They seem lovely. Of course they are not gonna win it but I hope they are kept in at least a couple more weeks so that I can enjoy them.

I thought the second performance was pretty good. They have potential, but I think they'll go out fairly early on. Doesn't help that the solo females are so strong this year - just makes Girlband seem very weak. In reality, most girl bands are relatively weak at singing...

Yeah I wasnt crazy over their first performance although it was perfectly fine. Their second performance I thought was sung with emotion and was a really good vocal.

No doubt the females this year are incredible and yeah, most girls bands are relatively weak at singing. But I think Girlband are one of the better female groups ive heard (certainly on the show anyway). Venus was a silly song choice as it does nothing as a song to blow you away. Where as I thought Thats What Friends Are For was a fantastic song choice that showed that they could actually sing. They don't come near the female singers this year but they are certainly better than a few of the other contestants this year.

I also think they would be good rolemodels for young girls watching the show. Girlband are quite big girls but also incredibly beautiful with it.

I actually thought they were worse than Bad Lashes in the main show and thought they were the worst ones of the night. I thought they sounded better in the second song though, but I can see them going in the next week or two

OP 100% agree! Ive been pulling my hair trying to say that on this forum, but it seems a lot are tone deaf, think badlashes were better. That awful, awful group!

Both girl bands where total rubbish, but saying that the wrong band got kicked out.

Moaning on national TV that you've only been together for a couple of weeks etc is pathetic.

The problem is a lot of xfactor viewers decide in advance that a band is no good, without evr seeing them sing live. Quite the case with girlband, especialy with forum members, so they automatically assume badlashes was better. Well the live show roved that badlashes have no harmony and dont sing in tune. They are an awful band. IT proved girlband on the other hand arent that bad.
Trust me, the casual viewer havwe seen it, but I am sure forum viewers 90% of the time dont care about performances, they only hear what they want to hear. But Girlband sang 1st, got no publicity, and still survived the public vote over badlashes. Clearly, people who actually listened, know who the better band was!

I thought Bad Lashes were better if dodgy on the harmonies at least they pushed it a bit more and weren;t so bland and predictable - but some of that blandness for Girlband was also down to the styling. Girband looked like they'd escaped from the 80s.

Vocally Girlband or as I prefer to call them, GirlbLand, were bland, slightly below average if anything - certainly not fit to be in the final 12. The boyband are head and shoulders above them, musically, image-wise and in every other way so they probably will be out in the first few weeks.

Girlband were great in the showdown, but I believe Bad Lashes had more to give. They were truly screwed up by their mentor, with the whole image, song and performance, it was pathetic. They could hvae been great with another song like I Kissed A Girl or something like that.

Saying that, I dont think Girlband should be ruled out. They did go first, so that would explain the fact they were bottom 2, they could come out and be amazing next week.

I don't understand how it's even a question that Girlband outsung Bad Lashes on Saturday. Bad Lashes weren't in tune, their harmonies didn't gel and I don't think they were even in sync at times.

On the other hand I really enjoyed Girlband's Venus. I love that song and I loved Banarama and the only thing I could fault Girlband for was sounding too much like the original.

I don't think Girlband deserved to be in the bottom two after that performance. There were a lot of acts I'd have put lower.

They don't look like a girlband. Not even half the band can sing. They have no personalities. And are too busy busting out of their tops trying to get into the papers.

Bad Lashes were robbed, the girls look great together, can sing, have personalities and don't need to use their boobs to get some publicity.

Throughout the whole show (e.g Bootcamp judges houses) Girlband were the weaker group. They don't deserve to be there next week.

After seeing them on Xtra Factor I'm really disappointed that Bad Lashes are out so soon. I think they definitely had more lively personalities than I've seen of Girlband and, styling wise, I haven't been overly impressed by Girlband.

It's quite possible that all Bad Lashes' problems on Saturday were down to nerves and song choice. I didn't want them to be first out but whatever the reason for the performance and whatever their personalites I still think that, objectively, they were the worst performance of the night.

Girlband were better on the night and there's no point wanting Girlband out in revenge for Bad Lashes going. They should only be out if they're the worst of the competition left in which I don't believe they are.

As far as the busting out of their tops in the papers stuff I haven't noticed but, personally, that wouldn't be a negative for me

Yeah I can't see how people are even trying to say that Bad Lashes were better singers on the night. Bad Lashes sung out of tune, Girlband sung in tune. Whether you liked them or not, I find it hard to believe that in your head you think that Bad Lashes sung better. I can understand who you personally like more. For instance my favourite contestant is Ruth but im not gonna go slatting Alexandra and Laura who obviously sung better on the night.

As for Girlbands image, well it wasnt as dreadful as Bad Lashes. They looked really rough. In the bootcamp stages I thought they looked amazing.

I agree with the OP. IMO, BL and GB have been two of the better bands we've had on the XF. They are both miles ahead of Hope, I think.

GB are a stunning bunch of girls (the tallest one in the green dress has the most amazing legs).

On TV....I actually thought BL came over better vocally. However, I am assured by some people who were there on Saturday, that GB were far better and that BL hit some well bum notes.

I liked the quirkiness of BL but I think GB are the better of the two.

And....I really like their name.

I thought Bad Lashes were better in terms of orginality. Their version of Wonderwall was good I thought and I was glad to see something different given that most of the song choices were rather predictable.

Bad Lashes version of Wonderwall was out of tune!

They are the pits. That whole category is hopeless.

Rubbish, Ugly, Untalented; should have been eliminated over Bad Lashes on Saturday.

There's really nothing special about them, imo.

They've got nice enough vocals but I just find them boring. No star quality at all.

I thought their first performance was good. They were better than Scott, Daniel, Bad Lashes and Austin IMO.

I noticed on This Morning and stuff today, the vibe seems to be that Bad Lashes were unfairly kicked out... but me and my boyf both thought on the night that in sing off that Bad Lashes (like Simon said) didnt blend well at all vocally and sounded like 4 individual singers. I thought Girl Band deserved to saty over them, glad the public agreed. On This Morning and Xtra Factor they acted like they thought they were owed to get through further when they should have been grateful for getting to the final 12.

I enjoyed their performance better than Daniel, JLS, Scott, Rachel, Diana, Bad Lashes and Eoghan.

I thought Austin was one of the four best acts of the night, though.
