Wall Mounting - Price
Hi guys,
I am going to get my TV mounted on the wall next week but need an idea of what sort of price is average. If I provide the wall mount, and trunking (not necessary) what sort of price should I be expected to pay? I have no idea what sort of price it will be so not sure if to go with the 1st guy who comes out or not. I am in the Falkirk area if anyone can recommend someone. Cheers |

Why don't you do it yourself?, it's only a matter of drilling a few holes in the wall.

I thought about doing it myself but my DIY leaves a lot to be desired. Do I not need to strengthen the wall at all though?

ScubaSteve21, I'd agree with Nigel. You've already got 60% of the job done. If there's no cables to be buried or plastering to be done then this is really a job for a local handyman rather than an AV installer.
The only useful advice to add is make sure the appropriate fixings are used for the wall construction.

Brick & plaster - wall plugs and decent sized screws will be fine
Breeze block - best results with resin fixing and threaded studs
timber frame & plasterboard - use joist finder and wood screws
