I don't think I have ever seen a category as strong as this on the X Factor before, although Sharon's 25 and overs in series two were pretty good.
However, this category is even on another level to that. All three are fantastic singers and I could see them all winning. Whatever happens, I am sure they all have great careers ahead of them.

I think it could well be.

All three have very different singing styles, are all contemporary and all fantastic singers. I can see any three of them winning and hope that'll be the case.

At the moment I think it is...

As you have said, the only other Extremely strong category was Over 25's in Series 2.

Potentially The 14-24's in Series 3 (Ashley, Nikitta, Leona and Ray) could've been but I think the crappy theme weeks killed Ashley and Nikitta's chances.

Definately.
First time I can see potential finalists merely from one category only.

Only if her 3 girls finish 1st 2nd and 3rd will it be. I guess the potential is there but as both Dannii and Simon both have had 2 acts finish 1st and 2nd she will need to beat that to be the strongest ever.
In fact as one of Simon's acts in the final had been in the bottom 2 at least once I'd say Dannii's is winning at the moment.

It is a strong line up overall, with Cheryl's being world class IMO. But there's many a slip twixt cup and lip - who knows what detritus cheesey theme and star special weeks will leave behind, crashed like a train wreck on stage. Often in the past those who looked like walking it at the start could not develop - while tortoises overtook hares on several occasions. We will see ...

I think that Danni will be the last judge to lose any of her acts (and that could well be after Simon has lost all his). I think that any of the five female soloists could win this year and that it is effectively between Cheryl and Danni

I'd suggest their cringeworthy performances probably killed their chances

In response to the OP, 100% yes, I could see any of them winning although it's too early to predict who. And let's not forget that a couple of the girls who didn't even make it through were probably better than most of the remaining acts as well....

I agree about Simon's category in Series 3 (Leona, Nikitta, Ashley and Ray) being a great category prior to the live shows. Then it all went wrong as three of them weren't that good lol.

Really? What about Daniel? Don't think he'll outlast any of Cheryl's three!

Yeah I think it is potentially the strongest category to date - all 3 are different singers and are widely being lauded as extremely talented, which never happened with either the over 25's in series 2 (Chico, bless him, didn't receive good press for his singing), Simon's category in Series 3 (as Ray, Nikitta and Ashley just weren't up to scratch), and Dannii's in Series 4 (Leon did not receive good press on the whole and Andy was just poor).

Although I'd caution it with potentially as the 3 girls have started strongly but may not finish that way ....

Yes, I think they are...but I think one off them will have a shock early(ish) exit. I don't think they'll finish third, second and first

Well unless they do they won't top Dannii they can only equal her if both girls that make the final do not end up in the bottom 2 at any point.

Frankly no. Not sure what the fuss is about Diana or Laura - they aren't that amazing and Ruth gets by purely on the sexy Spanish accent ...

It's a good job for Cheryl that Ruth's in the over-25's then and she has the amazing Alexandra instead

So far I think it is but we have to wait and see as I think Diana could find herself in a jam with some themes.

all 3 in seriousness are good enough to win
all 3 are more likely to make it as a star than any of the other acts

i'd say yes absolutely its the strongest ever
