Pete Waterman for X Factor?
What about bringing in Pete Waterman to replace
Dannii Minogue next year? I no he is a bit old, but he would be far more entertainment than cheryl or Dannii.

I would prefer him to Dannii Minogue! She's so false!

I was thinking this a few weeks ago. But now I'm not sure. I think Pete W. is a genuine guy with a lot of self respect. He would never allow Simon to control him - so Simon wouldn't employ him.
And I'd hate to see Pete effectively reading from a script like we got from the judges when Alexandra sang last Saturday. |

I'd rather have him replace Louis 'you look like a diva, sound like a diva' Walsh.
Who is quite frankly past it. |

Which, of course, is what they do on American Idol having already seen the acts before the live broadcasted show. Do you remember that woman commenting on the wrong song last year?

What short memories we have!
He won't. He's been there and done that in Popstars The Rivals (where Girls Aloud were formed; Pete managed the rival boyband One True Voice) And Pop Idol - he couldn't hide his disgust when Micelle McManus won and had a real strop! He vowed never to work on that type of show again and I'm sure there was some big row with Cowell. |

I loved Pete on Pop Idol. I would love to see him back. Either to replace Louis or gormless Danni

I loved Pete on Pop Idol2.....he was my favourite judge! Would love to see him back on a show as a judge again!
However is he not tied up with the whole legal thing with Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller over Cowell stealing the format!! |

He vowed never to work on that type of show again and I'm sure there was some big row with Cowell. There was actually a rumour that he was the original judge that held Louis Walsh's place but his son was very unwell at the time and he didn't want to do it. I'm not sure how much truth there was to this. I don't think anyone would want it now. I don't think Pete would be keen on it, and Cowell is probably happy with what he has and wouldn't want any of the Pop Idol crowd. Perhaps on another Syco show, but not on X Factor. |
