Help required for New LG TV + surround set up
Hello,
Can anybody please advise me how I should wire up my new LG 50PG3000 TV, Panasonic SC-HT900 home theatre sound system, PS3 and Sky + box ???? The Panasonic does not have a HDMI port. I want to get the best out of the system but dont really know the best set up. I have an optical cable, component leads and scarts. Any ideas please ?? Many thanks |

Panasonic -> TV - RGB scart or component (component would be my preference).
Sky+/PS3 optical -> Panasonic optical. Sky+ -> TV - RGB scart PS3 -> TV - HDMI You will need a optical switchbox if you don't want to keep swapping cables for Sky+/PS3 as the Panasonic has only got one input. Switches - 2way or 3way. Only one device can be switched on at one time when using the 2way, the 3way has a manual switch. http://www.astarsolutions.co.uk/products/?pc=1101 http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/APRILO1.html |

Hello again. I have set up the system as recommended . Everything seems to working well but when i put a disc in the PS 3 im not able to get any sound from the surround system speakers ???? Im sure its a simple solution but im struggling to be honest. Any ideas what i have done wrong.
Im using a 3 way switch splitter for the optical leads which is set correctly. Many thanks Phil |
