What is everyones favourite song from a contestant from any of the shows - XF,Pop Idol, American Idol, Fame Academy etc etc etc ?
In terms of song, I mean one which was released as a single.

My favourites are

Elliot Yamin - Wait For You - outstanding vocals by an amazing singer

Lemar - Dance With You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG36luzXJ_k

Lemar - Time To Grow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNniki_fWN0

Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You (in my opinion, the most versatile female winner of any of these shows, and this being her stand out song)

Dammit, you beat me to it!

I'll go with Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love - that'll never get old for me.

Jordin Sparks - No Air is another one, and I also really love Something Kinda Ooh by Girls Aloud

Oh and Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes & Breakaway.

Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love"
Kelly Clarkson "Since U Been Gone"
Kelly Clarkson "Behind These Hazel Eyes" (underrated, IMHO)
Kelly Clarkson "Because of You"
Carrie Underwood "Before He Cheats"

5 in no particular order. My favourite depends on what kind of mood I am in!

EDIT: I always forget about Girls Aloud because I never watched PSTR! I loved "Biology" from them. "Love Machine" was good as well and I like their new one. Not sure any of them make the top 5, but they deserve a mention.

I love Elliott too and have both his albums. My daughter met him in New York and he was delighted to hear he had fans over here. He'd love to tour here

My other fave from talent shows is Will Young and I have all 4 of his albums-I think his current album is definitely the best with Friday's Child a close second.

It's a great song, a classic and will still be played years down the line. To witness him perform it at this years festivals and to see capacity audiences at Glastonbury and T in the Park especially, singing along with him, a pop singer, was something really special.

I wish he would tour. It would be great if he could perform on XF to raise his profile

Kelly Clarkson - Sober

If you haven't heard it, please look into it. Amazingly written and sung, yet tragically underrated. Shame it wasn't commercial enough to be a hit (although the fact that they didn't even make a video for it says a lot ).

Don't Call this Love - Leon Jackson (apart from his winners single its the only one i've ever bought and to be fair I don't rate the winners single that much it was more sentimental value).

Although must admit to liking the Girls Aloud song - Sounds of the Underground
