Hand Washing Glasses
DVB Cornwall
15-10-2008
How do you ensure when hand washing all sorts of table glass that you don't get any smears?

Your advice would be most welcome.

It's one domestic chore that I am ashamed to admit that I simply can't get right.

I wash them normally but make sure they're rinsed under a running tap to get rid of any suds. Not sure if that would cure the smear problem - but I don't have an issue with smearing as far as I'm aware.
And I never dry anything I've washed up - far too lazy, I just let it dry on the draining board.

I use "Morning Fresh". I rinse off the soapy residue and then I use kitchen roll to dry them.

I was going to say use kitchen towel to dry glasses or a proper glass cloth. My nan used to have a glass cloth but I don't know if you can still buy them. I think it was linen, it was white with the word glass woven into it.
