jacket potatoe with loads of cheese from the vivaldi van, after getting freezing cold watching leather clad men go round a race track very fast on two wheels.

Smashed potatoes and egg (sort of egg and chips but nicer) and bubble and squeak. Also latkes but I haven't had any for ages. I used to like the way they did them at Camden Market in a pitta with salad.

Bacon and scrambled eggs (not one or either) with toast and tea

Spinach and ricotta canillonni (I know I spelt that wrong) with loads of cheese and thyme

My mother's beef with carrots, potatoes and rice.

Long time cheap favourite: mash potatoes, beans and grated cheese. Delicio-cious!

Pepperoni pizza. If i feel ill, tired, hungover ... or just generally want to snuggle in the blanket with something tasty - then it HAS to be pepperoni pizza time.

A big bowl of creamy tomato soup with warm crusty bread, followed by a generous helping of lasagne with extra parmesan and chunky home-made chips, finished off with one of those microwavable puddings that spews piping hot chocolate sauce when you cut into it. Oooh... there's something M&Sy going on here
