Hi Guys,

I am trying to play a movie from my PDA and I have it on my SD card as a avi but its not allowing me to open it.

Any suggestions?

Download that ^^^

Install it, and point it at your AVI file and post up what it says the video stream is.

AVI is not a format, it's a container. It could be anything in there. By the sound of it, whatever is in there, you don't have the relevant CODEC installed to allow your PC to play it.

You need to download the CODEC from Microsoft.

Just go to their site and do a search for it.

Which CODEC would that be then? He has an AVI, it could be anything in there!

Which is the whole point of installing gspot. It'll tell you want CODEC it is, and then you can install it.

vlc will play most things, it doesn't use the windows codec library.

as for WMP, if you download a programme called GSpot (seriously) it will tell you what the codec is, then you can download it.
