Anyone else manage to get tickets for the AC/DC UK tour next year?

See Tickets website was in meltdown for ages this morning.

I now notice that all four arena dates are completely sold out.

There's going to be some insane prices on eBay for these tickets as it's surely going to be AC/DC's last full world tour.

Never been a HUGE fan, but have always wanted to see them live as I hear they're awesome on stage. Looks like it's not gonna happen...

Rock Radio in Manchester had a competition this morning for two tickets. People had to turn up at their office at eight o'clock this morning dressed as Angus Young!

I wonder how that went.

I had planned on seeing them next year but it looks like no Scottish dates this time so I'll have to wait for another year to see them for the 8th time.

Well, their drummer's Australian.

Angus and Malcolm Young are Scottish - from Glasgow - though they were living in Sydney when they formed the band.
Brian Johnson's English - from Newcastle.
Cliff William's English - from Liverpool.

Saw them at Wembley Arena a few years back. Good gig but was all seating though. No moshing at all.

I'm suprised this has sold out so quickly. I expect the agencies and touts are the main buyers though.

Nah, it was limited to 2 tickets per person, I reckon most of the tickets went to fans, especially as Ticketmaster was giving preference to acdc.com members.

I don't want to get hopes up too much, but the original 'official' dates that surfaced online were:

2009-04-14 London, GB O2 Arena
2009-04-16 London, GB O2 Arena
2009-04-18 Dublin, IE O2 Arena
2009-04-21 Manchester, GB MEN
2009-04-23 Birmingham, GB LG

These all proved to be correct, including the additional 'second' London date that was added.

Now, along with those dates above, the following two were also listed:

2009-04-25 London, GB O2 Arena
2009-04-26 London, GB O2 Arena

So, there's still a *chance* that these may be genuine and will be available at some point.

I managed to "get" mine a couple of times only for that stupid verified by visa part of the purchasing to crash when trying to redirect to their site, hence loosing my tickets.

Anybody else have the same problem?

I had that verify problem - it kicked me off twice before I got back on.

Managed to get 4 tickets from 2 different ticket agents.

I tried on Ticketmaster and didn't get anything.

The Seetickets web page seemed to be permanently down but I managed to get on once and got two tickets for Birmingham.

I have heard that AC/DC will be back to do a longer UK tour before the end of the tour.

Sunday is the 29th anniversary of Brian Johnson's first gig in the UK with AC/DC, at The Colston Hall in Bristol, and I managed to get tickets for that one too!!

They've been heavily rumoured for the Saturday night. On the other hand, they themselves have said they're no longer doing any festivals.

Commercially, it'd make sense for Download to book them and for them to do a second leg UK tour. However, if the potential second batch of two London dates does happen, I reckon that'll be it.

I left it to two people to get me tickets this morning but they faffed it up the plonkers, so I phoned the men ticket line at 3-30pm and there were two tickets left....

someone's card must have been naff or something..so the tickets went back on sale....right into my lap!

WHY would they not want to do festivals anymore!!! thats easily where they are in their zone!!! monsters of rock anyone??!! Id say if they have their second leg around the time of download then its more than likely they will end up as headliners, it would be stupid for them not to do it!!!

They've been selling out huge US arenas at £60 a ticket with ease. They can earn more doing their own dates than they'll get paid as a festival headliner.

They will also sell more merchandise at their own shows.

I'm just chuffed to have ACDC back.

Rock And Roll Train is an amazing track and Black Ice is a decent album.

Was at work and got someone to try and get tix for me... to no avail.
My mate couldn't get any either, nor my workmate. Ah well.

Hope they do announce some extra UK dates. A Glasgow one would be great... and I kinda expected one this time.

Oh right, where's that then?

That's true actually. Damn when did it become about the money still one headliner slot at download fitted into a second round across the UK, that will do me nicely....i can hope, cant i. tbh im not even that fussed, was a bigger fan a few years ago but now its just more an interest to see them.
