I just fell asleep watching Rachel and Vincent's Samba

Shame. I have enjoyed their previous performances. This one really fell flat for me, though.

I agree, it was really flat and quite cringeworthy. Underwhelming.

I hope they survive this week and get back their mojo next week. xx

I have to admit, as much as I LOVE the pair, I was expecting better and was disappointed.

It was solid but unspectacular....and got the marks it deserved.

she's good but doesn't let go - what's wrong with the music tonight, it's all wrong!

Agreed. Love the tune, but totally inappropriate for the dance. It made it even more boring somehow...

Should have been good, but it was just boring.

The band is dire tonight. Mind you, the music choices are too.

I've never warmed to Rachel but I did expect their samba to have more appeal

Agreed. I felt the same way about James and Cherie tonight as well - it was really lacking something...

I expected a lot more. She has real talent (all that ballet training showing through) and is a real performer, but the music was blah and the choreography dull as hell. Shame.

To be fair, I didn't feel that any of the samba's really popped.

That's fair comment...they were all much of a muchness.

None deserved more than 30...John's and Mark's immeasurably less.

Even though I'm not supporting them I expected a brilliant samba. I think she should just smile more. She has a gorgeous one. And I felt the beginning of the samba was too similar to their salsa's.

She seemed to hold back too much. The dance is better than I remember it when re-watched but she, perhaps through shyness, can't truly let herself go. If she could do, she'd be brilliant. If she can't, she won't reach the final.

I found John's samba cute and entertaining. I liked Austin's and felt that the judges' comments and scores for him were a bit harsh, perhaps because his jive was only two weeks ago (so fresh in everyone's memories) and was slightly similar.
