Rachel.... really not getting it
Second week in a row and I'm just not getting her. The Judges are constantly bigging her up and yet I can't see it. She dosen't seem to be improving and strikes me as a very intimidating person. I wanted to see if she'd improved but I do think its time for her to go.

I think she has a great voice but she has been terrible in both live shows so far.
![]() She was even worse this week than she was last week! |

I love her voice - she needs a really powerful song to show us what she can do - so far it hasn't happened.

I liked her voice in her first audition but she hasn't really impressed me since the live shows started. Not keen on her as a person, she seems to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder.

Me neither.
Maybe it's that she's had two songs which really aren't "her". I don't know, I just don't think she's as good as the judges say. |

Yea but this weeks theme was awful, most of them struggled to do anything exceptional.

I have to disagree! As a matter of fact only her and JLS did a song that actually pays tribute to Michael Jackson!
She performed great, my only problem is she doesnt know how to work the mic too well, and her voice gets cut off at times. Other than that, it was brilliant! |

I like her as she seems sweet and a bit different but I wish she wouldn't squeak in her songs quite so much.

I found it horrible. But I know she can sing. That's the problem. First Dani screwed it up for her and then she srewed it up for herself. I didn't enjoy her performence at all.

Pretty much exactly as was discussed at length before the lives shows, this girl is ruining it for herself. Yes, she has a really good singing voice, and she is trying so hard to pretend she also has humility. But, it isn't working. Given a free choice, picking 'Dirty Diana' was a stupid move. If she'd done a really good, soulful version of 'Ain't No Sunshine' her star would now be rising. As things stand, she's coming across as believing in her own image, and 'as an artiste' she ultimately knows better than anyone. Wrong.

Michael Jackson did "Ain't No Sunshine" back in the 70s when he was still on Motown. Not the original, granted, but a very, very good version of the song.

Credit where it's due - Simon was absolutely spot on about her this week. 2 weeks in and she hasn't done a song that'd suit her.
Anyone else feel from the way Simon put across his comments he is a bit fed up of Rachel's attitude ? |

Its simple, Rachael needs to go back to what she does best. the bar was over raised for her so people are expecting something outstanding every time she sings and are not getting it, Rachael needs to sing songs where her melody's and vocals are over stretched, the fact that she was so good in the auditions could hang her as everyone expects more, thats why she got the most hars criticism even though she was clearly not the worst!

Surely that wouldn't count as it wasn't originally one of his songs?
If you want to discount songs because he didn't write them, strike out most of Thriller, which was written by Rod Temperton, a pasty looking white English bloke who used to be in 70's band Heatwave. |

As far as i know she wiped the slate clean by serving time why do people like you need to judge her by her past which has nothing to do with tonight's performance, people like that Ben dude kept their drug taking a secret and when it came out didn't get nearly as much stick, different rules for different folk |

MJ had a big, global hit with the song, and it rates as among his finest ever vocals.

She has the voice, but she is becoming really irritating, and that could cost her.
