He just seems so arrogant now and totally unsympathetic towards anyone , even when they're breaking down in front of him.

Plus the way he talks to Louis and Dannii is appalling. He seems to treat them as dirt and leaves no opportunity to humiliate them.

I'm starting to see the real nasty side to him now.

Yes totally sick of him and his judgement a lot of the time is way off the mark. Danii and Cherole Cole can judge better then him.

I agree.
I hate his smirk when 2 acts are in the bottom, and his are safe.

What really riled me was the Spanish comment to Ruth AFTER the Purple Rain performance. Surely that proved that she can do it just as well , or even better without singing in Spanish?

If she was Cheryl's or his own act he wouldn't say anything like that.

Well, regardless of whether he knew the public vote tonight or not, he lost a lot of credibility with me by chosing Girlband over Ruth.. truly appalling decision!!

He used to be far meaner to the contestants in the early years of Pop Idol/ American Idol.

He and Louis take the pi*s as usual, but Louis throws all kinds of things back in his face as we saw tonight (Louis having a go at Simon over Girl Thing... conveniently forgetting that Girls Aloud fired him as soon as they could and the disaster that was Bellefire, or the dig about making a career on "sympathy" when it was that "sympathy" that is paying his wages). It's just the usual bickering. He doesn't really seem to say much to Dannii since she moved on seat along.

Definitely lost credibility with this 'go to deadlock' opt out. Ruth did a world class performance, he should have saved her.

Why bother having the judges save people segment if they're going to do this - why not just leave it all up to the viewers vote.

He should start thinking about sacking himself.

To say it's all about the last performance when judges (himself included) always side with their favourites and then save Girlband over Ruth. What a sham. Way down in my estimations.

Then fogetting names again!!! Has he done it with Rachel twice?

The deadlock thing is stupid though. Why do they not just go back to the public vote being final like they don on American Idol and they did on Pop Idol?

I am. He's got the whole show wrong in my opinion, plus he's got the group that gets through on the sympathy vote.

girls aloud grew sick of Louis only giving westlife attention, but he does deserve credit for giving them their look and sound, by getting them great producers...just look at the mess Pete Waterman made of One true voice in comparison!

Do you know him personally? Because I think he is acting very childish lately.

The fact he doesn't even clap after any act, not even the bottom 2, is disgusting. He has no respect.

I have no idea why he bothered with deadlock this week. Because we know that he decided Girlband were going home, doing deadlock every week is a bit pointless and this week it just wasn't needed.

If I were as rich as Max Clifford, I wouldn't be posting on DS tonight... I'd be living life out somewhere in Australia!

But my post was actually rather fair, I thought. The bickering with Louis is deliberate for TV as it is with Ryan and I'd be quite worried if people couldn't see that. And he was far meaner on PI, the insults have gone downhill.

I get the impression Simon feels he is superior to them all and has no qualms hiding it anymore.

He's becoming very biased towards his acts, its only week 2 its not even heated up yet!! He pissed me off tonight, after the speech about how the bottom 2 will be judged on the second song and told them to sing their hearts out... he then didnt bother to save the better act and left it to deadlock hoping the weaker act would stay.

I predict that one day Simon will lose his fortune yet gain the comfort of having a comb over.

I can't stand him this year.

Louis is the judge who's on the money IMO.

What annoyed me was that he didn't acknowledge Ruth's amazing performance which was better than any of the earlier performances in the show. All he could do was criticise her.

I was glad to see on Xtra Factor that Seal said that Ruth owned the song and also told Rachel not to take any notice of what people tell her to do, just be herself. he was fab actually and gave the contestants some great advice.
