Diana stole the show
I enjoyed the show tonight, apart from the fact that none of the performances really done it for me....
Then Diana hits the stage and completely nailed her song, and when I say nailed, I mean completely dominated it and added her own spin to it. Perfect notes, perfect pitch, and without a shadow of a doubt, the best performace of the night. I only started watching last week and know nothing about these guys. I thought Diana was cute last week but didn't like her performance. What a turn around. The only contestant to catch my attention and send a mild chill down my spine whilst singing, and thats what its all about. Diana will win the show. Only some truly awful peformances could change this, and lets face it - Its not gonna happen. |

No, Ruth stole the show in my opinion when she sang Purple Rain.

![]() Who are the 'xf crew' ? ![]() Did Rachel not get hammered by the judges? For what its worth, I thought her performace was shite. Terrible song choice. What was she thinking? Her voice is suited to powerful soul and I was expecting something epic. What a disappointment. |

Perfect pitch? I quite liked her but she was off on a few parts.

Diana may as well have sung the same song as last week, she gave the same performance. Very nice but I think she needs to do something a little different.

Yeah, Ruth's 'Purple rain' blew me away. I think being in the bottom two tonight might have actually increased her chances!

Austin was the highpoint - such confidence.
Ruth's singoff was quite a surprise as well. Quite liked Diana though. |

Besides, if the pitch was off, I'm sure at least one of the judges would have commented on it, regardless. |

Diana does not have perfect pitch, and the judges only comment when someone's tuning is absolutely abysmal. Very few people have perfect pitch and she, like the majority of contestants, is not one of them.

For me the only person who stole the show tonight was Ruth.
Wow, wow, wow! One to watch, that one! |

Diana's song was very different, and up until Ruth's 2nd go, yes she was amazing. But Ruth stole the show by blowing the competition up.

I have an idea for next week: each contestant should wear a special collar such that, if he/she suddenly yelps at the end of a note for no bloody reason at all, his/her head explodes.
Diana should wear three, just in case one of them suffers a technical failure. We can't be too careful. |

![]() I also think that the OP's opinions (posted as 'facts') are way off the mark and if I was less than keen before I logged on here tonight, some of the ridiculous adulation for the girl that I've read has totally put me off her. That kind of garbage does the girl no favours. |

![]() So why were 'tuning' issues brought up when that boy band (cant remember their names) done a pretty solid performance? I don't know much about Diana but I am saying her pitch was indeed perfect on this performance alone. It would be ridiculous to claim that a singer has perfect pitch everytime they open their mouth.... |

Ruth's Purple Rain won my heart.
I didn't see anything from Diana I haven't seen from her before. I'm getting very tired of her. |
