For the first couple of series I did like the novelty of it but I'm growing increasingly bored of it now and this year more than any its really affecting the show in a negative way. Its been present in previous years but not to the extent of this year, but they all want to save their own acts (which is understandable) but Simon is playing extremely dirty by putting down everyones acts except his own because he knows the power he has over the voters. He was also tactical voting last night, maybe hoping Girlband would have been safe because they're less of a threat. After her Purple Rain performance, Ruth showed she is a threat- not for the title, but for the next few weeks at least.

Its a really talented year this year but I think its going to suffer because of the format. I think it would be better if they never went to judges homes but instead the judges heard them perform again then decided the final 12 between them, then all helped with the performances and arrangements where necessary.

I agree in principle, but in reality they would never agree! it would be a festival of arguments...so yeah, actually...bring it on

The format does need to be changed though. It's a little tired now. The group category is always going to be the booby prize too.

They can't do it the right way like American Idol/Pop Idol because of legal reasons...
they don't want to pay money for the format.
That is why they have to continue with this crap, so yes, basically we're stuck...

The whole mentoring thing is a bit of a farce. They do about close to zero mentoring
