Fried bread.

But you've probably eaten it by now.

Oooh, haven't had a proper fry-up in so long. Bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, fried bread, hash browns, fried mushrooms and of course thick crusty toast smothered in butter for mopping up the egg yolk and beans. Feel kinda greasy and disgusting afterwards but it's the perfect hangover cure. Can't say I've tried black pudding though - or particularly want to...the whole idea of congealed blood kinda puts me off.

It's quite a hard food to try and make people have a go at but it actually eats nothing like you'd imagine.

Once it's fried, it loses that smooth texture that you get it you eat it just boiled (which is also gorgeous) and it becomes more like a big sausage.

The only downside to black pudding is that it repeats on me all day.

A nice forkful dipped in yolk. Lush.

I had a great one the other week with a left over gammon steak instead of bacon.
I also don't care much for hash browns so just had chips instead

everything listed plus the sausages.

question though about black pudding. i always cook it with out the skin, but are you meant to leave the skin on and is it edible because its got a plasticky look to me.

Yep, you can't beat a good fry up. We don't have them very often but we had one a few weeks ago and it was great.

I have to make do with turkey rashers and veggie sausages ('cus I don't eat red meat) but add an egg, beans, mushrooms and a couple of slices of lightly done fried bread and I'm in greasy-spoon heaven.

you need beans to get the moisture content up. Forget the tomato and mushrooms though.

bacon (unsmoked back)
sausage
square sausage (needs grilling to get rid of most of the fat)
black pudding
fried eggs (still runny)
baked beans (only Heinze will do)
toast or fried bread (done in the bacon fat)
brown sauce
mug of strong tea
