I have a JVC 46" LCD LT-46Z70B. Prior to moving house, I had an excellent picture. From my new home, the picture quality to poor to say the least.

At first I thought it may be the dish as the area is renound for poor quality signals. My System tells me I have approx 60% Signal Strength on Input 1 with 100% Quality. On input 2, I have approx 60% strength and 70% Quality.

Is the the issue which causes my picture to appear very grainy with pixelaling (most noticable in dark areas) or perhaps it was damaged during transit?

I have tried the tv from my PS3 and played a HD DVD through it and much similar quality.

What could be the problem here?

Are you sitting closer to the TV than you were before you moved?

Is the lighting in the room different?

If its increased pixelation I guess it would be the signal to your dish. I assume LCD tvs either work or dont work or suffer dead lines or pixels.

Look for big trees in yours or your neighbours gardens they can decrese qulity if they are in the dishes line of sight.

To be fair, I probably do sit closer, but even from the further away, its not the best. Ref the trees, signal issue, I have loads of trees in the area, however my System tells me I have approx 60% Signal Strength on Input 1 with 100% Quality. On input 2, I have approx 60% strength and 70% Quality.

How much difference does full strength make if the quality is already high?

You can rule out your Sky signal as you have already stated it is the same with your PS3 and DVD playback...and you have admitted you're sitting closer to it...stop looking for a problem that exists only in your mind.

That's almost certainly the problem then. The solution would be a smaller TV though you will probably get used to what you have.
