itunes track on a walkman ?

I have been using Itunes to manage my music on my Ipod, and over a couple of years I have purchased quite a lot of music on there (have since found out thats not the way to go ) I have also have puchased a sony walkman, what I would like to do if possible is use my music from Itunes on my walkman as well, the only way that I could think of doing it was to burn the albums from Itunes then install them on to media player and then on to the walkman , the problem is when I rip them to media player most of the albums do not show the artists or track names (I suspect these are the albums purchased from Itunes)
is there an easy way around this, as I am not a computer genius,

any help would be most appreciated , steve

If your purchased songs are iTunes Plus (bitrate of 256kbps) then you can simply copy them directly onto the Sony Walkman player without any burning and ripping needed.

This will not work with 128kbps protected files however.

yes quite a lot of them are Itunes plus, do you mean I can use Itunes to put them directly onto my walkman?

No you can't. You need to use Windows Media Player or Windows Explorer to drag and drop.

yup drag drop
no itunes support.
regular non protected by drm aac files work fine as said.
if you are burning and ripping itunes tracks to convert to mp3 or whatever in wmp then its a lossy conversion. not only that unless its a full complete cd with original track order its very unlikely it will recognize the album and be able to name/tag the files. converting any lmusic file to cd strips all tag/file name data from the music. its why its best to never buy drm. conversion is no good.

i think there are programs out there that strip the drm off itunes tracks. google around.

that might make it work simply with the walkman without more fiddling.
