Oh, John, my darling! Too, too unkind to the lovely Christine! Not the best, but not that bad, surely?

And I'm afraid I can't see what you see in Lisa (although we clearly missed the same things in Rachel's dances ). But the comment about the trumpeter was inspired!

She must have; I still really, really miss her.

And how rude do I feel? Apologies for barging in on your thread. I'd read a post last week sometime, someone suggesting another poster read JohnfromWales. Not a clue what they meant. Now I do. Again, apologies, and... have I been missing this weekly event for the whole of Strictly?? Damn

Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it, grinning my head off, and won't fawn. But thanks

John, if you can write poetry as well as you do prose, I am about to nominate you for the post of Poet Laureate when Andrew Motion hangs up his pens.

Loved it and there's a standing ovation going on here LOL!

My favourite bit -

"Arlene says she has two words: "Alesha Dixon". I have two words too, and they're both 'bollocks'."

Pricelesss!

BUT how fickle you men can be!

After reading so much about the depth of your of devotion for the delectable Miss B (the supposed object of your affection that you say you'd like to marry), it seems to me you must come from the 'There are plenty other fish in the sea' school of affection, judging by the speed of light manner in which you dropped the 'Radiant Christine' in favour of the 'fragile flower Lisa', after it would seem watching very carefully that her shimmying (sp?) car wash dress didn't slip off at the wrong (right?) moment on Saturday night!

Such piercingly unkind words like 'she looks like a swan, she dances like a duck - a lame one' can only have been written by a fair weather follower and you sir, are a cad!

PS Can't wait for next week's episode!

JfW, you are my favourite poster. Brilliant observations, as always, and comiserations on the exit of your favourite

Jfw I have been entertained by your musings since you began to post them. Each monday I am logging on here in anticipation and excitement. I laughed so much tonight that my husband has now gone to bed!! 'Bollocks' and 'Lame Duck'.Hilarious. Keep rooting for Lisa now that your beloved Miss B has gone.

Where to start? Far too many gems in your latest "Musings" but Mogadon Waltz got a belly laugh from me.

JfW, I'm going to miss your genius when Strictly finishes, even though I was a late comer to this thread.
I'm so sorry about the lovely Chistine, but so glad you're switching to my favourite, the much maligned Lisa. ( Any friend of George Clooney is a friend of mine!!)

Once again I marvel in wonder at your genius in summing up our Saturday and Sunday nights.

Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic, this is so funny, I'm really gonna miss these when Strictly is over. I also happened to agree with your assessments of the dances, though I couldn't put them across with the same level of humour or wit as you. I can't wait for next week's installment.

JoW - Please will you think about doing the Christmas Special?

I'd love to hear what you think of all those fabulous dancers!

Please?

John, This is brilliant. I'm sat at home in cold wet Wiltshire laughing my head off. Mr P asked me what I was laughing at, I tried to read it to him, and couldn't because I was laughing so much.

Now not only does the prospect of 9 months of no SCD fill me with horror, but I have to add the distress of no Musings during those months as well!

Thank you for another laugh-out-loud posting.

'I like the bit when they start to come down the steps and he plays with all the conviction of a man who's just knocked over his sheet music and spilt his tea on it trying to pick it up.'

best sentence ever!

loved the bit about Arlene and what she is looking for, pray tell me how you dance with your colon?!

Please continue writing, these summaries are a right laugh!

JfW - hen gariad! Once again you have brought out these fantabulous strange musings from the depths of your being to make people choke on their coffee, never mind screaming out loud! Not me, of course, I'm far too much of a lady Can you speak as well as you write? If so I will just have to put your name up as Brucie's replacement

Guilty as charged, BuddyB. I saw the writing on the wall and dropped her like a hot tomali - it's a character flaw as yet undiscovered by Mrs JfW. You may also add spineless, malingerer, shallow and dumb - I have no defence against those, either.

Not sure when the Christmas Special is. Let's just wait and see...
