Can't argue with that. Uber-babe. I have a clip of her on TOTP with ABBA in a pink catsuit with a heart shape cut from the stomach - I'd sacrifice a gonad for a night with her.

INTERSTING that the musical Mama Mia opened in the West End, exactly 25 years to the day
after Abbas stunning win of the Eurovision song contest.

the musical has 27 abba songs in it

Ive always read that they won the song contest at Brighton on Agnethas birthday but that is an urban myth
her birthday was the day before the song contest on friday the 5th

heres another fab pic

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I read that at one time Agnetha was planning to
do a solo album and have it produced by Barry Gibb

Agnetha loved Barbara Strisands album "Guilty " which
Barry produced and wrote for Barbara.

The problem was that Agnetha had a fear of flying and refused to fly to Miama to make the album.
Instead she went with producer Mike Chapman ( of Chinn and Chapman fame), and eventually the album " Wrap your arms around me " was released.

Maybe Agnetha missed a trick back then, Barry Gibb was on a roll in the early 80s , if he had produced and wrote Agnetha's album it could have sold like Babs album " Guilty " ( 20 million plus )
and Agnetha could have been a big pop star diva in the USA !

Ah well, too late now Aggy, you let it slip through your fingers !

To be fair tho, Chapman was no slouch in the early 80s either. He'd produced Blondie's "Heart Of Glass", a number one both sides of the Atlantic.

I have always found it impossible to choose which Abba girl was the prettiest, loveliest or the best at anything. They were both utterly fabulous.

I recently checked out some of Frida's solo stuff and was quite surprised by how good it was, I've not heard any of Angetha's though.

God I must have been in a nasty mood when I posted this, four and a half years ago!

I actually quite like Abba, and Agnetha's solo singing. But no, I don't fancy her.

You thought that was "natural" did you?! I never did. She's got bad roots showing in Take A Chance On Me vid as well.
