Pinky : "What are we going to do tonight Brain?"

Brain : "We're going to do the same thing we do everynight Pinky, try to take over the world."

Hello, hello.

I certainly don't feel that "You're so immature" Brian is "sweet" or that his apparent view that the universe centres around him should be rewarded. He keeps mentioning his age but seems to consider it an excuse to behave (as I wrote previously) more like a spoilt seven year old than someone seven years over the age of consent[*]). It's about time he started to realise that he's no longer in primary school and that the needs and desires of others are just as important as his own.

[*] Or six years over in his own country, the AoC being 17 in Ireland and 16 in mainland Britain (regardless of sexuality).

Brian has everything a potential winner needs. He is has a lively personality, is out going, entertaining and the probably is the cute campness factor too.

Until yesterday, i would have totally agreed with Brian being my fav. But last nite watchin BB on Ch4 (some of us arent lucky to have E4!) my estimation of him went down about 200%. Bubble (who was OBVIOUSLY upset with having to take down his little picture thingy) then got an earfull from Brian who said (or rather screeched) something along the lines of 'They told you to take it down so stop being so immature and DEAL WITH IT'
I really would have expected a little more sympathy or compassion from him!
Poor Bubble!

Really? He and Narinder are the last people in the house I'd expect to display those qualities. They both have a seeming disregard for the feelings of others, aside from where those feelings relate to themselves.

I wonder if, when he leaves, Brian will claim that such lines as "You're so immature", "You're so childish" and "You're behaving like a spoilt child" were intentionally ironic jokes.

Ah! And what's Brian's latest nugget of wisdom? "Once you choose a gay life you choose a lonely life". What twaddle! If he's lonely it's more likely to be due to his egocentricity than his sexuality. And if he thinks that he "chose" to be gay then why doesn't he choose to be straight or bisexual (or, more rationally, stop labelling himself and just accept his attraction to whoever he fancies at any moment without discriminating on the grounds of wobbly bits)?

This bloke irritates me more each day.

Ok i amit that Brain was abit harsh on Bubble- and bubble is missing his daughter but bubble was going over the top slightly. I mean he must of really affended Brain asking for the present he gave him for his birthday back!

Narinda really does my nut in she uses brain - treats him like her little puppy!

He is under alot of pressure he obviously has a problem with Josh being in the house for one reason or another.

But come on he is entertaining!

laterz Hello

whats the view on the new nominations? Get Narinda out??

Everyone in the house is under pressure. That's one of the main points of the series, isn't it?

I suspect that Brian thought he'd be kept in the house by homosexual and "gay-friendly" viewers simply because he's a young queen. When Josh entered he immediately lost that assumed guarantee (although, as someone who generally identifies as gay, I don't want either of the self-obsessed posers to win). I'll feel that my theory might in part be validated if it turns out that Brian nominated Josh and if he continues to do so.

Personally, I would prefer Narinder to leave. I feel that we've seen as much of her personality as we're going to, and I haven't been impressed by what I've seen. Paul, however, might have much more future potential.

In Brian's defence I think he was perfectly in order with the way he handled Bubble.

1/ Bubble was behaving like a spoilt child. Big Brother had told him off and he couldn't handle it. The result was a bout of sulking and petty behaviour aimed at Brian.

2/ If Bubble were left to wallow in self pity he would quickly lower the morale of the rest of the group.

I agree that Brian's indignation on that occasion seemed to be entirely justified. That doesn't negate the irony of his comments about childishness, however.

I don't think that Bubble was sulking, though, or that he was being particularly petty. He exaggerated his demands in the manner typical of his and Brian's verbal sparring.

Many people who think Brian is amazing, possibly don't have access to E4!

The Channel 4 edited show often bends over backwards to try and display Brian in as positive light as possible.

C4 seems to want to show all the more entertaining characters in their best light to dissuade viewers from voting them out. Unfortunately, and in connection to the "nice vs nasty" comments elsewhere, the only "entertaining" character I would like to see in the final few is Bubble.

A rather interesting Brian-related event was just broadcast at around 2:45 am[0]. An event involving nail clippings, balls and pillows took place between Brian and Josh, leading to both giving their versions of events to Helen and Narinder. Helen, asked who she believed, wisely stated that it seemed like "six of one and half-dozen of the other". Narinder, however, appeared more inclined to believe Josh. Perhaps she's starting to realise just how much, and how convincingly, Brian lies[1].

H.

[0] Almost half an hour ago as I write this. A group in the male bedroom (including Amma and Elizabeth) have just been watching camera operators through the mirrors in the darkness again. Something else that the C4 viewers miss out on.

[1] The first time I disliked Brian, as opposed to just being irritated by him, was when he swore on his sister's life that he hadn't done something that he later confessed to doing (I forget exactly what -- possibly stealing Bubble's hats).

I agree about seeing a different side to Brian in the last few days. His attitude to Josh (even if he is a poser) was pathetic and his childish "I want to be straight" and "the gay life is so lonely" was absolutely sickening. I think when he comes out which will be sooner than I used to think he will realise how damaging his comments have been. He acts like a 12 year old kid. Grow up Brian. We all had a tough time as gay teenagers. Get over it!!

For Brian's sake I thin we have to see Narinder go. Though it pains me to say it, I think it will hinder his chances if the relationship with narinder gets any closer.

Come on Brain! stop hiding behind narinder and be someone in your own right, not just a sidekick!
