Best Xmas Song Ever??
I was prompted to starting this thread by just listenting to John Barry's excellent "Do you know how christmas trees are grown" from OHMSS. And it will be christmas soon!
The Ronettes "Frosty the Snowman" gets my vote! |

The best without a doubt, though I always liked Wizzard's "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day", even more than Slade (and I was a big Slade fan) - I hated the "It's Christmas" scream at the end.Not necessarily a Xmas song but normally associated with the period - Tori Amos - Winter. |

Dean Martin - Baby It's Cold Outside
There's nothing that feels like Christmas more than some Rat Pack! Aside from that, what about Spitting Image's Santa Claus Is On The Dole? Or Jonah Louie's Stop The Cavalry? Awesome stuff. |

Last Christmas - Wham! Is brill, cheesy, but brill!
All I want For Christmas - Mariah carey, everyone seems to hate it but I love it! Shame it's not on her Greatest Hits! But the winner hands down is 'Fairytale In New York' My parents used to play at christmas when I was a child and it brings back those memories! |

I don't like Christmas songs at all. Even the better ones are tainted with memories of spending money you don't have, spending time in places you'd rather not be and worrying about whether someone's robbing your house.
Bah humbug. |

Every song on the Phil Spector Christmas album is the ultimate Christmas song.. Its an essential Christmas album, so buy it!
Other than that... Slade "It's Chhhhhrrrrrriiissssstmas!" Cool. Oooh, and my girlfriend just said "A Winters Tale" by David Essex! Mark
