22" Technika HDTV - "1080P"

Hey,

I got a nice little HDTV for my bedroom for my birthday. Wasn't too bothered about the resolution capabilities, however I'm just curious..

I got an HDMI cable for my 360 and when setting the output to 1080P, the TV states "1080P".

Does this mean that the input source is 1080P and the TV is scaling it to whatever resolution the TV maxes out at, or is the TV outputting an 1080P signal?

Sounds like a stupid question I know!

Many thanks,

James

The display shows what the INPUT signal is, the TV will scale it to match the screen - there would be no point displaying the screen resolution, as it would always be the exact same.
