Thompson 160gb master reset? Advice needed!
Hi, I have one of the older model PVR's the totally useless one, at the moment, whenever I select a programme in my library of recorded programmes, the box freezes and crashes, I can still record, but simply can't watch any of the programmes I have recorded, so the only option i guess is to do a full reset, as I cant even select library, then delete the first recorded programme, can anybody help me out?
Thanks in advance for any replies Alex |

Go to Menu -> Setup -> Help then press 1397 to get to the engineering menu. From there you will find an option to turn off the video display when in the library. Then exit your way out and go to the library and now you can delete the recordings you need. The setting only lasts for the first time you go into the library after turning it on and then resets itself. The usual problem is that the first recording in the list is corrupt and that's the one that is auto-selected when you enter the library so it crashes the box immediately.
I think there is also a format disk option in there but I'd try deleting the first programme in the list first. |
