Hi people,

I've searched the threads but can't seem to find any mention anywhere of what the two dances will be next week.

Does anyone know??

Cheers all

They've gone through all the dances now I think, they'll probably just start doing a different dance each next week.

I think there's the Foxtrot and Cha cha to go, but don't quote me.

Foxtrot and Cha-Cha-Cha? The men danced the Cha-Cha-Cha in Week 1, and the women danced the Foxtrot in Week 2.

I think the couples range from Ballroom and Latin starting from next week. Perhaps the Mambo is a new addition, since Brian and Kristina will be showing us 'how to to Mambo' as Bruce said, tonight.

Well the men still have the foxtrot the salsa the quickstep and rumba to do
The girls have the waltz the cha cha cha the tango and jive to do.

Brian and Kristina are dancing a mambo tomorrow so are we getting a new dance.

You could be right. Perhaps that is why Christine said something about the Jive?

Do they do the Argentine tango as well?

I know the professionals have danced this before - but I can't remember if the celebs do or not.

The Argentine Tango is performed in the Semi Finale (Week 13).

I think, if my calculation is correct a new dance is neededm or else by the end they will be repeating themselves...so mambo possibly?

I still would love to see the jitterbug

I'd like to see some 'swing', if they're looking for new dances.

All of them!

10 dancers remain. Ten dances danced so far. Each competitor will dance a different dance. So we will have

Foxtrot
Waltz
Quickstep
Smooth
VW
Jive
Salsa
Samba
Tango and
Paso.

Never mind QM's stats - I should think it will render the marking a complete lottery, seasoned with the judge's prejudices.

They just announced on the result show that next week there will be 10 different dances

I don't think we're going to get a paso and a VW the week after they've been performed. You've also omitted the chacha and rumba, so my guess is:

Foxtrot
Waltz
Quickstep
AS
Chacha
Jive
Salsa
Samba
Tango
Rumba

At least we won't have to listen to Len waffle on about what he's looking for in a **insert dance**

Indeed, how are we going to compare and contrast any of the celebs.

I wish they wouldnt do so many different dances on each show

I thought 2 dances only was better, easier to compare like with like

I started my own thread about this. I think it would be quite chaotic to have 10 different types of dance in one show! I quite like the idea of them going back to the dances done in the first four weeks and swapping things over for the next two weeks so that the men dance the female dances and vise versa.

So next week could see the females doing a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha (dances done by the men in week 1). The men would do either a Salsa or Foxtrot (dances done by the girls in week 2).

Following week would see the females doing a Tango or a Jive (men's week 3 dances) and the men dancing a Rumba or a Quickstep (girl's week 4 dances).

Think this would be a lot better since it would provide a variety of four different dances for each show and would flow more easily than 10 dances!

Then from week 9 they allocate the dances as appropriate for the remaining eight contestants.

doing 10 different dances is going to make the marking really ridiculous. How can you compare a jive to a waltz or a samba for example?
Im sure we'll be getting a lot of overmarking/undermarking on saturday.

On a slightly different but related topic, is the Mambo officially going to be danced this series for the first time?
