My Thomson TUTV 160gb recorder has been working for about a year now, and though it is prone to freezing when deleting stuff, I just accept that i have to switch it off at the wall. It does a job and for the price has been a good buy (This does of course mean that as I have now posted this it will probably break down straight away)
However I was wondering if anyone knows a way around the recent changes... when I first got rid of the TUTV aspect, I deleted ALL channels on tutv, but on a recent update it changed the channel list. The lottery previews and how to use tutv guides are on two channels (lottery extra and info) not listed any more so I can't stop it recording them...using up 4 of my hours. Is this normal, or can I stop it, and will they add more of these things?

Thanks in advance for any help... even if you can't offer a solution it would be helpful to know if ohters have the same situation.

Am afraid it's something you can't change. Top Up TV have the right to reserve up to15% of the Hard Disk for content and services.

Here's a post I made about it back in August along with some screenshots: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...1&postcount=20

Ah, right. I thought I had deleted all of these channels but they seemed to have changed it so I can't anymore.
Fair enough I suppose, a decent sacrifice to make for a very cheap box.

Thanks for the help!
