Yesterday I managed to get their greatest hits for 50p and I haven't had it off since! I didn't realise they were this good and the tracks despite being 20 years old still sound as fresh today as they did then!

I adore Gulity In The First Degree, Venus, Cruel Summer and Shy Boy!

If your a pop or girl group fan you need to get this! camp is sooooo cool!

They were the biggest selling girl group in History before The Spice Girls came along.

School was a really great place with the likes of the Banana's Kylie, Rick Astley, all the SAW lot were value for money. My musical taste has somewhat widened since like. LOL.

Check out Bananarama and French and Saunders on you tube, they covered 'Help' for Comic relief one year, it's hilarious.

I got it over a year ago in a BOGOF offer and yes, you do forget how many classic 80s pop songs they had!

They couldn't sing for toffee but the songs were catchy and easy to sing along to!

As well as the old stuff I loved the two singles they released a few years ago, Move In My Direction and Look On The Floor (Hypnotic Tango).

No, they can sing, the technology wasn't around in those days like it is now to get a perfect vocal, I think there was a distinct lack of harmonies, (ie they all sang the same thing) which often made their vocals sound a bit bland.

Ok, maybe they could sing - I'm not up to speed on my Bananaramery (that's a word I just made up by the way! ). But as you said, they did sound bland and if you got any group of girls together to sing a song without harmonies or solos, they'd sound like them! So, you can forgive me for thinking they can't sing if it appears they didn't have the balls to challenge themselves vocally.

Also, what about the latest album they released a few years ago? Technology has come a long way since their heyday and they're still not harmonising or attempting to sing solos on verses etc.

Having said that though, imagine how different the songs might have sounded if there was harmonies, solos and whatnot!

Get the first album, Deep Sea Skiving. Classic. Then they went S/A/W and hell ensued.

I've been watching some of the videos on youtube putting faces to the names and pictures to the videos.

I'm getting quite into 80's pop. Seems like it was the best era for it. I might get Bros and 5 Star's greatest hits next. I have all the Kylie stuff.

not exactly

after DSS came their self titled second album then True Confessions which is a great album featuring one of their best tracks dance with a stranger. PWL period next with Pop Life inbetween....

STILL the most charted girl band ever.
