You could post a thread in the pets forum, saying what part of the country you are in, asking if anyone wants your fish. Be a little wary if you do meet anyone though, don't give out your home address or anything.

As the others have said though - how could anyone object to a fish, especially when it's obviously upsetting you? I'd question whether moving into this house is the right thing for you.

One of the girls at my work has offered to look after him for a couple of weeks, while I work on my mum and getting him to live with her!!
