To be honest all the girls have been singled out at one point or another.

What gets me though, and anyone that has read my posts knows only too well where my allegiance lies, they are , at the moment doing one dance each week, ONE DANCE!!! and already we have had tears and breakdowns, can't cope, not enough hours in the day etc.........how the hell are they going to cope with two...............

We all know how two dances + work schedule effects a celeb, I tell you I can't wait, these pussies are really gonna fold in 3/4 weeks time..............and............... now................. back to my pink and fluffy cloud............Ahhhhhhh

Yes, but Ramps came alive on the dance floor and performed, especially with latin routines, Rachel just doesn't seem to spark at all, she's stunningly beautiful, a good dancer, but just seems to lack something in projecting a personality - I completely got what Len was talking about, when he said the dance was flat - I keep expecting her to wow me, but it's just not happening.

Agreed! I do think she gets very nervous, and I do think that brings out her shyness. Vincent clearly adores her and I think they have a great partnership, and if he sees something in her then I'm sure there's something there... He said himself she's got a wall up at the moment... I think either an acting lesson or seeing a hypnotherapist for her nerves would do her the world of good in terms of performance. Dancing wise she's pretty good anyway, and I did think their VW last night was lovely....

I dont have a massive problem with her... although she is generally good unless one of the other 3 contenders pulls out i cant see her as a finalist...When SCD 6 was about to start everyone was raving about her and Mark saying theyd add sexiness to the show but its not quite worked out that way!!

She actually seems younger and more inhibited than Louisa. I couldn't understand why they kept on about Louisa's age, because she came across as mature for her years. it only held her back on a few dances.

She has flowers instead of pubes?! Who would have thought it?

Surely the OP meant to type "was" or "is" instead of "has" in the title of this thread btw!

I don't get the Diva-ish vibes at all.

The fact that she has done photos like those on the link means nothing at all - she's trying to make a career for herself in the public eye and will have been advised what she should do at any given time to promote herself.

None of that means she is not naturally shy or that it was easy for her to do anything. She is probably a determined person but that doesn't mean she doesn't struggle with shyness.

Agreed with all that.

poor Rachel, i can understand people saying shes bland but shes harmless . Technically shes one of the best dancers this year IMO she just really needs to work on her performance. I guess Rachel is a prime example that being in a band or a singer ala Alesha, Emma etc.. doesnt mean you are always at an advantage with performing/storytelling.

Always the nice ones that gets attacked isn't it?
About Rachel not being shy because she wasn't in S Club, well she was a lot younger, she had a team around her, who became her friends. As a solo artist she has been really shy. Plus, she also acted in S Club so she wasn't really 'Rachel' as she is now.

I know many who've met her and she was lovely they said, signing things, taking pics etc.

I think she's adorable, she works hard, is always nice and éven if she's shy, i think she's doing great.

I'm loving her & Vincent together. I think he is a bit smitten by her.

I thought Rachel really blossomed this week.

Her and Vincent's VW was heartfelt. I did see a performance (for the first half of the dance anyway). That's progress. She's getting there.

Careful what you say about Rachel, Grant and Phil may come and get you!

I love Rachel. She's best celeb dancer this year and I agree that her and Vincent make a great couple on the dancefloor too.

How has she been icy? That's OTT.

Sorry Buddy, I'm not sure if you meant to quote me or not, but my post wasn't meant to be against Rachel in the least.... I didn't say anything re the photos and I agree with you about them- doing a photo shoot is a bit different to dancing infront of 10 million people each week...

As I said in my previous post, nerves are obviously getting to her, and I really feel an acting coach or a hypnotherapist would help her get over the nerves...

I think she could be fabulous, and I think she's half way there- just needs that extra little bit of sparkle performance wise and she'd be there... I really like her partnership with Vincent and technically she seems to have no problem with the dances...

I don't get dull or diva from her at all.... Then again, I suppose I would say that because if everyone who is shy is dismissed as dull, then I've got to be the dullest person on the planet!!

I think Rachel is really sweet. She and Vincent are a joy to watch too.

Rachel was only picked because she's an ex popstar who the tabloids and lads mags love. She's going to be kept on the show until the end despite the fact she's bland and has always been bland. I'll be amazed if she manages to seem anything other than bland during her time on the show. We all knew she could dance before this series started so the fact she can get all the steps right and everything is just so doesn't surprise me. She needs to bring something else to the table but she isn't.

I'm sick of being told by the judges and on ITT Rachel and Vincent are such a cute couple when this partnership is obviously not working. There's no spark or chemistry between them. They both seem miserable. Poor Vincent must have thought all his Christmas' had come at once when he got her - little did he know....

I think you forgot to add "in my opinion" somewhere in your post.

It's your opinion, evidently. Normally I would have agreed (based on my opinion) that Rachel did not 'connect' with Vincent in her previous dances. But this VW she smiled at him and attempted (successfully I hasten to add) to connect with Vincent throughout the dance. I thought she did marvellously well last Saturday and deserved all the marks she's got!

I don't think she's shy so much as very jealous of her privacy not wanting to give too much of herself away. She's turned down a lot of reality TV offers in the past and probably would have done the same to SCD if things had gone better for her in LA last year.
Maybe I've missed them but has anyone else from S Club turned out to support her yet ?

It makes a refreshing change. Celebrities these days are always eager to air their dirty laundry in public because they are desperately competing with one another for attention.

If Rachel is a more private person, then I respect that quality in her.

It's not Rachel's ability or even her chemistry with Vincent that's the problem - it's the fact that she appears to have no discernible personality of her own whatsoever. She makes all the right noises (determined, gracious etc) without ever seeming to make an impact. Even Christine's cloying niceness is more memorable than Rachel's brand of completely inoffensive charm.

Having thought Rachel was likely to be bland as bland before the series started, I actually like her more than I thought I would and she really does have a good thing going with Vincent. But there's just no ginger in their dancing.

Really though OP, 'sour puss'? The girl smiles even more than Christine!
