Hope you can help.

I have an album in iTunes that had just the tracks named as Track 01, Track 02, etc.

iTunes shows the album as "Unknown Album" "Unknown Artist". I want to rename it and the tracks since I know what they should be.

So I right click and go to Get Info. I type in the Album name or whatever, click ok and... nothing. If I go back in to Get Info, it's not kept it.

What am I doing wrong?

It's not wav is it? Or maybe your permissions are mucked up?

Think I might have been being dim

I had put a CD in which has about 40 albums on it. The folders are the album names and the tracks are all 01.mp3 etc. I thought if I loaded it in to iTunes, that iTunes would have a sort of copy of it but it turns out it was still pointing to the CD and hence wouldn't let me rename it.

I copied the folder of the album I wanted on to my C drive and then was able to jiggle it in iTunes. I'm assuming it'll just load it on to my iPod when I next sync it.

When I put a "proper" CD in, it just sort of loads it automatically.

It's amazing I ever get any electronic thing to work it really is
