New TV/Monitor - advice needed

Hi all

Recently re-subscribed to Sky+ (with Sports mix) and have the following set up.

Front room: Sony Wega 32" CRT (5 yrs old), Sky+ Box, Humax 9200T and Sony DVD player.

Back room/Office: Dell Dimension 5000 PC, Dell F173FP 19" Monitor.

I currently run a co-ax out my Sky+ RF2 connection to an Avermedia USB2.0 Plus TV box via TV Link/Magic Eye into my PC.

I can therefore watch Sky Sports on PC no probs. I also bought another remote to save time walking between rooms. However although perfectly watchable even on full-screen, the quality is not as good as TV picture, compared to when I had a co-ax into a 2nd Tv in my old house.

I wonder whether I'd be better buying a TV that accepts PC input, but am mindful that my current Dell Monitor has 1280*1024 res. A lot of 19-26" TVs are something x 768 res!

I've been looking at a LG: http://uk.lge.com/products/model/det...22lg3000.jhtml which has 1680x1050 res, so appears better than my monitor. It's obviously Freeview enabled so I'd have Sky Sports News too.

Would this be a good option?

Or are there alternatives/better options?

Hope you can help.

Hi

The following Monitor / TV is a good option. I have the previous version

http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?...amp_id=froogle

It offers the following:22 inch Widescreen, Built in freeview, HDMI inputs, PC input & DVI input. 1080P resolution etc etc.

You will also find that is cheaper than a TV and has a higher spec!

Pop down to PC World (they stock the 26 inch version for sure) to have a look then buy online and save a packet

Regards
