DMR-EX768EB ITV series record problem
Malomaka
27-10-2008
The wife unfortunately likes x-factor so a series link has been set for it to record each week.

It will record for the first week from ITV, both the main show and the results programme. Then for some strange reason the following week it records the 'Rabbit' channel at that time, missing the required programmes from ITV.

This has happened on more than one occasion, so we have had to delete and reset the record schedule.

I have not checked if this would happen for other series recording on ITV, but all other recording we have set seem to work fine for other channels.

Does anyone also experience this problem?

I have a DMR-EX768EB too. I am having difficulty doing series link recordings on channel 5. Frequently the program guide for channel 5 is blank - then you can see the guide fill up. Once the guide has filled up, the recordings table is correctly filled. Annoyingly if I go back the next day, channel 5 is blank in the Guide and the series recording table shows that recordings won't happen. This recorder uses the Guideplus system (yes I know it has issues, but I'm stuck with it!). Looking at the guideplus status pages shows that the host or carrier channel is bid-up tv - when I first got the DVD recorder is was Virgin TV. I suspect that the problems may have started after the host channel was changed. Can anyone shed more light on how guideplus works and what the DVD recorder does to get the information - apart from it showing Guide in the display occasionally! I have emailed Panasonic UK's technical support but have got little back from them other than the stock answers - I think the problem is goes beyond the usual 'user error'

Thanks
