Just voted for SCD and also posted that there should be a bigger choice then 4 in each category, at least 8 to 10. No wonder we get the same boring winners year after year when the choice is so limited.
I've never voted before, but having for voted for SCD this year I completely agree about the lack of choices. I skipped a lot of the categories because I couldn't care less about the choices available. Makes you wonder how they choose the nominations.

There was a longlist a couple of months back that you could vote on and then the choices got whittled down to this shortlist based on the votes. There were at least 10 in each category originally.

Really, but how can that be fair I never knew about voting on line like this and some other programme of 10 could pick up a lot of last min votes.
I think its all a bit of a con. All the 4 programmes left on the lists have a lot of money and publicity invested in them and the stations try to justify all this by saying these are the only 4 up for nomination.

Thank you! Can I ask where I would have found the first list?

Simon Cowell was so smug about it last year making remarks to Andrew Lloyd Webber, just anybody but him to win.

I wonder who will make the speeches if they do win, or am I getting a bit ahead of myself here?

The trouble is, Simon has released that single in the lead up to the awards. I can't help thinking it will influence voters.

Everything about the X-Factor is becoming predictable - the sob stories, the judge's comments, the hysterical reactions from contestents, the same old tunes being churned out, claiming the xmas number 1 spot and the show winning at the National TV Awards every year!

Time for a change please

I guess this is the discussion thread for tonight's Award ceremony?

Fingers crossed for Strictly! I'm really looking forward to seeing Kristina's dress.

... and you really think ITV will allow its main cash cow to be beaten by its direct rival ?

I mean, ITV hasn't exactly the best track record when it comes to phone voting anyway...

I saw a pic of Arlene on the Getty Images site and she looks hideous:

Andrew, Ola and Camilla should be there, too.
