Fab news!!
Just confirms what we knew all along, that Strictly is far superior to X Factor!!

I can't wait!

I've always thought Simon to be very smug and complacent. It's about time people enlightened him as to what a tedious bore his show has become!
You want to try saying that in the x factor forum. Some are saying its a travesty and a disgrace etc

They can't have it all ways, its not as good as it used to be. Maybe this will give Simon the wake up call he needs to do something because its dying on its arse at the moment

I love all four of those nominated so I'm as unbiased as they come...I hope.

I think on this year's standards, it is a big surprise as I feel SCD has been the least enjoyable of the four. Dancing On Ice upped it's game massively; Britain's Got Talent was brilliant and The X Factor, IMO, has found it's footing once again.

In comparison, SCD seems a bit...clunky...currently, probably due to the drawn out start and the judges becoming more unbearable (it says a lot I can listen to The X Factor panel easier than the SCD one).

However last year SCD outclassed everything. It was brilliant, the best series ever full of every emotion and every kind of dancer. So on last year's series comparison, it was exactly the right result (IMO).

I wouldn't dare go and rub their noses in it - I'd be lynched!

I do feel that Simon Cowel has had things his own way for far too long. He's relied on the same old formula and it's become stale and predictable (and this is from a previous fan of X Factor).

Strictly was long overdue some recognition

The lines opened ages ago so i think a lot of the votes WERE for last year. However Austin and Erin dancing probably secured a few more votes.

Oh some people already are rubbing their noses in it and others are saying its the end of the showI think it will be a wake up call to them for sure. I feel the show misses the fun factor this year. Where is the likes of Rhydian and Chico and Same Difference?

I think I prefer it this year. Last year, Rhydian looked like he'd sealed the win from show one so any anticipation had gone. Maybe I feel the same thing this year with SCD and that's why I'm not enjoying it so much - I think the whole series is flowing towards an Austin victory.

With X Factor I have no idea who'll win. Last year with SCD only felt really sure that Alesha would win from the quarter finals, and by then the battle for second was intense. I think X Factor seems better for me this year because there's no front runner (I know there isn't a 'front' runner this year but it just feels like the sportsman'll get it ).

It'll pop up everywhere. The table tomorrow and Friday, on the judge's desk Saturday and Sunday...and then the winners will be given it alongside the normal trophy on final's night.

Delighted that Strictly won this year, but all this award demonstrates is the number of people who were bothered to vote. I bet there are many many more people who could not be bothered to vote.
