LCD Television decision

Looking at the following for the tv in the lounge.
Currently using Sky+ (not upgraded to HD yet) but want to get a TV that will last despite the continuing changes in technology.

Panasonic TX37LZD800
Toshiba 40ZF355DB
Sony KDL 32W 4000

The budget is not decided yet so the main question would be is it worth getting the 40" when the 32" is just as good?
I know they are all different screen sizes and I have heard that the 37" screens aren't as good as either the 32 or 40 sizes.

The lounge is not huge to accomodate anything bigger than 40" and the viewing distance will be about 8ft

Also, we have a 26" toshiba in the bedroom and sometimes when a motorbike zooms past the window the picture freezes of becomes distorted for a few seconds. Would this point to getting a better ariel (housed in the loft) or could it be something else ?

Any comments on the models will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

The Panasonic in a 32" size would be my choice, besides, it's easier to update the software/firmware than on the Toshi. The Sony would be the ideal choice but wait a bit as prices are set to fall when Sony introduce the new season models. Bear in mine that the greater the screen size the more power it uses, and for a 42" this can be upto 500W. LG are going to introduce a range of sets that save power by using reflected light to enhance the image and use less back lighting..... Should cut power usage by 15-20% ( according to advance info).

I would go for the Panasonic as well because I am convinced they do the best TV's.
I read a few reviews on it and they are all brilliant.
You want to buy the TV online? You can get it for £859 at rgbdirect.
