Wi-fi on C905
Can somebody explain wi-fi to me? I have a new phone C905 and it asks for a pass word or something to connect to sky broadband how does this work?
If I connect by 2G/3G I guess it costs but if you use it by Wi-fi does it still cost much to go online? |

assuming you have sky broadband and we're not talking about your neighbours or something then the password is probably printed underneath the router.
it doesn't cost anymore than you are already paying for sky broadband. |

if you connect over 2g/3g you are using the phone companies network to send data, this is why you pay. if you send data over your wifi it's nothing to do with your mobile provider, whilst you are physically using your phone you are using it as if it were something else, a laptop say.
the wifi eliment of your phone would work with no sim card in it. |

Thanks again I guess you can only connect in the same house or street and no further? I have heard of Wi-Fi hotspots if you are outside?

I see a few pubs and libraries offer Wi-fi free so does this mean you can just connect without passwords to the internet on your phone?
Like for example can you stand outside to make it work or do you need to ask them in say Mcdonalds to use Wi-fi? |

It depends where you go. With MacDonalds you will just have to enter some information about yourself when you start to use it. Some places will give a customer a password to enter.
