Just opened the box of a new kettle and the first thing I see is a warning notice:
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
I have now found the User Manual (eh, I think I know how to use a kettle, thank you very much) but there is no sign of a supervisory instruction manual. What should I do - consult my lawyer or my common sense.

Do you travel on the special bus? If not I think you'll be fine. If so, get someone to show you how to use it without killing yourself.

Thanks for the reassurance (I think). I Hadn't thought anyone would take this seriously but it is good to know help is at hand if you need it.

ok, now unstick your tounge from the window and put the little square thing into your other little square thing that has three little holes ...its on the wall, ok?
now from across the room, and using the handle of your longest broom press the button on the square thingy to on...if it dont go boom your ok!
of course if it does go boom it could just be the noises in your head

Talk about the iron, eh. With a bit of luck the mods will move this over to GD.

It said on the box that came with my hairdryer "Do not use for drying body, for use on hair only"

Worryingly, someone must have done that, and had a nasty accident, which resulted in the manufacturers having to print that on the box!
