I'd like Ruth to win, or make it as far as she can. I want to hear more of her!
Wouldnt mind if Alex or Laura won

Diana, Laura and Alex are good and all, but if u want to go for the x factor and for the person who has the most chance of having a successful singing career ahead of them than vote for RUTH, trust me you wont regret it. I know people like Diana but she is just too young and acts like a baby. Eggnog may win (hopefully not because he is way too young and he wouldnt be writing his own songs u know, people would write them for him, besides hes not a good singer anyway

The only way diana wont win is if her fans think she is safe The girls just in a completely different league to all the other copycats and belters.

I think Austin will almost certainly win. Everything seems to be gearing towards him winning as the show is beginning to seem more and more contrived. It'll be interesting to refer back to this post post-finale night.

Tbh, I don't think Austin has a chance.

Never mind the fact that he *Seems* to be very dislikeable, but the so-called "tweenie vote" that would usually go to him is probably split with Eoghan and JLS.

Oh, and a girl or JLS will win this year. I can't see Simon wanting another young male to win again. It's obvious they're pushing for a girl win anyway.

The previous male winners haven't had a massive impact on the music scene and even though I don't think Austin will either , I think Simon may want him to win just to get a male artist out there. Plus he's sharing so much with David Cook , the AI winner this year. He's singing songs similar to him and David Cook got a drastic makeover when he got to the live shows too.

i dont think we can call it yet, its only week 3, daniel might win!!!

it's not up to simone who wins its the public and their votes at the end of the day...he may have a favourite but that means nothing on this show.

Good point. Shayne has had some decent success, in the UK at least but no, I guess he's not had a huge impact yet. As for the makeover, it doesn't seem to be permanent because Austin only had the "goth" black hair for Every Breath You Take.

Fact is, is that out of the four series' of X Factor there's been three male winners and one female winner. Simon and the others are always hyping up the girls and they've gave the popular newcomer (Cheryl) them. Alot of decent male singers were turned away at the audition stages while awful male singers took their place. I think Simon delibaretly picked Scott as fodder and I think he knows Eoghan won't go very far once the compitition heats up. Austin is a good singer, but he's been completely overshadowed by the females.

Ruth, Rachel, Laura, Alex and Diana are all very popular and their performances have far outshone the men's performances, IMO.

I also think JLS might be a back-up incase the girls do badly/Simon changes his mind.

I get where you're coming from but I think that the females will split votes and a lot of people watch this show who would only ever vote for a male act.

The divas maybe, but generally I think Diana has a different audience to the other girls due to her different style plus I got a feeling a lot of males will be voting for Diana.

If a male does win it will be jls as they have a bigger fanbase than Austin

Possibly, but with five females left and only six more live shows, I think it's safe to say that even if the votes ARE split, then we'll still see a girl in the final and I think that if only one girl was in the final then Simon would do everything he can do make sure she gets as much votes as possible.

I've got a feeling that Diana may just have peaked too early with her popularity. It seems already she's losing fans on DS, though I do think that's pretty much the only place she is losing them. If I remember correctly, early peakers never win, do they? Which is such a shame, because I'd love it if Diana did.

Sometimes they do, I don't think she's done that "wow" peformance yet, I don't think I've heard her sing the song she'd sing in the final yet

Well things could all change.

If Diana gives "decent performances" and blends into the back over the next few weeks, and then emerge with amazing performances around Week 7, then she could have a chance.

If she keeps doing the thing she's doing now then she has no chance, IMO.

This year is like a repeat of XF 3. Diana, just like Leona is the early fave. So predictable...Diana will win.

I really don't think she will.

Because -
1. I just feel she's peaked too early.
2. DS favourites never seem to win.
3. She seems to be losing support. Or am I alone in thinking that?
4. My favourites never, ever win.

Leona didn't become the favourite until Week 6 once the live shows started so in those terms Diana is like Ben rather than Leona. Although I do hope this year is a repeat of XF3 because then Laura could win (been around the 2nd-3rd at the start and had good first performance , average second performance and another good third performance and then an amazing performance in Week 5 )
