I think Diana will win because she has a lot of support on sites such as Bebo, Facebook and MySpace + on DS too, just like Leon had last year.

I would prefer Laura to win though. Her performance of 'Falling' was stunning.

I still think it's looking like Diana. If the judges rave about her tonight, then that's it. Week 4 and if she does well....this comp is over.

It'll be dull then, for me anyway. Hate when there's such an obvious winner so soon. Just like the Leona year.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. No buzz (unless you like the obvious winner, of course.)

I have the feeling that Simon has another favourite in mind, but he doesn't want them to shine too early. I don't know who it is though...

Simon's plans don't always transpire. In fact, this year, Simon's general popularity isn't at optimum. I dunno if he has as much influence as he used to have.

His plans may well be scuppered. If that's not Diana, of course.

True; but it just goes to show how different sites are; on here Ruth is the bees knees and JLS are hardley talked about; whereas the reverse is true on other sites

TBH, I am very surprised at the hype over Ruth on DS. I saw you mentioning this on another thread and I think I know what you mean. I think she's good but there's so much in the way of 'strange' about her that I don't see her being winner material.

Don't get the 'attraction' thing at all. She's good and she interests me but very much Emperor's New Clothes.

I find it incredible sometimes that supporters of acts who aren't doing well in the polls claim that there is always an unrecorded groundswell of public opinion in their favour.

Evidence of this is usually very suspect or non existant at all.

Yes, it's true, and it's not just Simon, it is also ITV that have an interest in how well the contestants about ratings, voting revenue, finalists, winner etc...
And of course, things don't always go according to plan, even if they try to influence the outcome.
Anyway, TPTB, who ever they are, know that it is hard for the early favourite to keep the momentum, so I expect someone else than Diana to start shining between now and week 7... we'll see if my theory is right

I think that does give us a good idea about how popular each contestant is.

I really hope Eoghan doesn't win. If he does it may be time to stop the text vote. The kids are ruining the reality shows. The kid that couldn't dance and had absolutley no talent won Britain's got talent because of the little kids vote.

I feel cheated that I have given time and efort to watch these programmes week in week out and the one with the least talent wins because a bunch of silly little girls fancy him.
