This is such an open ended question really, as so many peeps have pointed out it's down to personal taste really and how other peeps interpret the choreography.
For me though it has to be:- Ballroom - Anton, Erin Latin - Flavia, Darren. I think they all have a really nice style of showcasing their partners, making the movements and almost stylising the dances to fit the personality/ability of their partners. The flow and the sense of movement and freedom that they seem to capture within the choreo. is a big part of why they're my tops too. However not so keen on the choreo of... Brendan, Ola & Matthew. - Personal opinion yet again. |

It depends on lots of factors, but in terms of choreographing to the celeb without just trying to cover up their lack of ability by overdancing, or making them look stupid by giving them routines they can't cope with, Lilia for me is the stand out. She seems to manage to imbue her celebs with confidence, and tailors things brilliantly, often with little touches and high points in her routines that make them memorable. Anyone who could manage to get a passable AS and even a not entirely hideous Paso out of Dom Littlewood... the woman is a genius.
She is not my overall favourite pro, though I do like her a lot, and there are other pros whose choreo I have sometimes preferred (there are several of them out there who have done routines I loved, and plenty of routines which I've preferred over Lilia's equivalents); but her skill in choreographing for the purposes of SCD is IMO superlative. |

It's true that the best choreography is the stuff that's simple but makes the celeb look good, which makes things more enjoyable for everyone involved. Darren and Lilia's ability has always stood out for me here.
When they actually get a celeb who can dance, all the pros have a great routine in their brains - I thought Brendan's paso this week, for example, was fab, although I find he has more off-days than most when it comes to routines. I don't enjoy it when the celeb is clearly not up to showing off the choreography properly, when you can see plainly that it should have been a great routine - Matt's paso this week was an example of that. Anyone else think Vincent and Flavia are a bit 'chuck the kitchen sink' in their routines? They always seem to have about three steps that are harder than anything the other pros put into their dances! |

Candy Man is an excellent jive - I believe that Matt and Nicole among others use it for demos!

It changes for me every year but this year, I would have to say Brendan. His song choices have also been excellent, unlike some of the other pros!

I know it wasn't a vote, but as a matter of interest I've done a quick calculation of who people mentioned as good choreographers:
Lilia 25 Darren 17 Kristina 13 Vincent 12 Matt 9 Erin 8 Ian and Flavia 7 Brian 6 Brendan 5 Karen and Camilla 4 James 3 Anton 2 (No-one has mentioned Ola or Hayley) I think that's roughly how I'd order them as well, although I'd probably rank both Ian and Flavia a bit higher up. Kristina I think has been fabulous with John, and I hope next year she has a strong contender so we can see what her choreography is like when she doesn't have to deal with John's limitations. |

I think they all do an amazing job. But the pro that stands out to me is Flavia.
She's not had much luck in 2 out of her 3 years, but hopefully next year, she'll have someone like Matt again, where she can show off her teaching skills, and we'll get to see her talent as a choreographer once more.

Can you add 1 from me to Brendan and Camilla cheers. Poor Anton but he is limited to ballroom. |

I believe that Darren and Lilia are the two best choreographers by a mile. They also co-choreograph routines a lot of the time, or at least help each other out, which must be a distinct advantage.
Its my view that the paso week was poor because neither of them were still in the competition - I think Darren in particular choreographs brilliant paso dobles. As they are both out of the main competition, I think the standard of the choreography has fallen, and the fact that Flavia is out as well doesn't help the situation. I personally don't like Karens choreography at all, but many people do find it fun, so maybe the most interesting choreographers being out are one of the reasons people might be finding the series a bit bland? |

I liked Anton's and Flavia's dance yesterday. They were awesome and kind of funny as well...
![]() Have to say, after watching Lilia on ITT the other week with Craig she very much impressed me... ![]() Also, can someone tell me who's Brendan's professional partner?

On the show Hayley. Outside of the show he doesn't have a professional partner.

![]() I seem to remember some show being mooted where dancers would compete to become his new partner, but no idea if anything came of it! |

My Top 3
1 = Matthew Cutler 2 = Flavia Cacace 3 = Lilia Kopylova Bottom 3 1 = Brendan Cole - IMO he thinks its all about showcasing himself 2 = Hayley Holt - To be fair we didn't see the best of her and whatever she would've done with Mark wouldn't have been great 3 = Vincent Simone - Too flashy IMO, yes it should look good, but less is more |

Lilia, Ian, Vincent. In no particular order.
The others are good too though. Oooh we mustn't forget Brian, he is great as is Kristina. |
