'life on mars' gets my vote after some long thinking, 'Bowie’s vocals in the song are probably at its peak in this song especially on the chorus of “Sailors fighting in the dance hall/Oh man! Look at those caveman go/It’s the freakiest show/Take a look at the Lawman/Beating on the young guy/Oh man! Wonder if he’ll ever know/He’s in the best selling show/Is there life on Mars

Great thread!
I love Let's Dance, although it's one of his most commercial. Also love Ashes to Ashes and Five Years. |

My favourites are "Starman" and "Young Americans".
Of his recent songs, my favourite is "Seven", and also "Thursday's child". |

I couldnt get it down to one, or even three, but as a first run at it....
Changes Scary Monsters Diamond Dogs controversially, i do also like HALLO SPACEBOY (PSB mix) but I agree its not a classic Bowie track |

Heroes
Life On Mars China Girl Let's Dance Ashes To Ashes A horrible commercial choice, but they just rule the school. In fact, one could say they rule from Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads. |

I'm confused Palomino, "Seven" is a completely different song from "Heart's filthy lesson" (which I didn't like at all)

Has anyone else even heard "Five Years"?
It's one of Bowie's best but least well known songs. Very underrated I think. |
