Paul Potts and Andrea Bocelli
On Sunday, 26 October 2008, "De Telegraaf" in Holland had an article on Andrea Bocelli (by Jean-Paul Heck) and Paul was mentioned! Here's the English translation of the second to last paragraph of that article.
TRANSLATION:
"I would like to know if Bocelli has ever heard the story of the mobile phone salesman Paul Potts, who became world famous overnight after winning Britain's Got Talent. He won, partly by singing "Con Te Partiro", "Bocelli" style in the semi-final. "Of course I tracked that and Paul has the essentials of the Italian songbook exactly right. His rendition of those songs and definitely Nessun Dorma (from the opera Turandot), was phenomenal!" "Especially, the story backing his success is beautiful. A down to earth guy whom lets his heart speak via Italian songs, more beautiful it can't be."
