Millions of Dianas!
I was in Camden yesterday and I was really shocked... Everyone there was dressed like Diana off the X-Factor. Same puffy hair and strange clothes and hippyish stuff that was being sold on like every market stall except the ones selling cool T-Shirts.
It was WEEEEEEIRD- I thought that Diana was prettty unique but i guess you dont get many trendy people like that up North so she probably is unique up there. I dunno, was this stuff around before or are they just ripping off Diana's style? And anyone know where I can find a million Austins or Eughans? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Maybe thats how the kids relate to her, she is diff to the norm on xfactor...they are usually dressed far too old for their age..

She is normal. It's the "in" thing amongst teenages just now, so no she isn't unique in that sense, but she is to the show.

Diana is not unique. Even before she was on the scene there were loaaads of people dressed in the same way and still are. My best friend used to have her hair all messy too. There's a college where I used to live that had about two thousand students, and each one of them have the same style as Diana. As much as I love Diana, it's nothing new

I don't know many girls who have hair like Diana and also dress like Diana and look like her and behave like here. Good on Diana then. She's started a craze in Camden. |

![]() edit: and i live in the North! A lot of people are coming out and saying she isn't unique soon as somebody said she was unique. It's the same with the diction thing. Soon as Dannii said you need to improve your diction, everyone started to use that word as well. I think it just goes with popularity. When somebody is popular, people will try and knock them down as quickly as possible. |

Not at all, I'm being genuine here, I love Diana and want her to win. I'm just pointing out there were people with this style before she came onto the X factor. She's unique to the X factor because obviously there hasn't been a girl like her on before. Her voice is very unique, but her style, I don't think is, but I respect everyone's opinion

A lot of people who go to private schools in my area all have that hair and clothes, it really isn't unique. She looks pretty though.

No, she isn't unique. I had a housemate who was very similar... little blonde hippie!
I'm not a huge Diana fan but the similarities to my friend make her a little endearing.

Five years ago on Pop Idol there weren't any singers who sang and styled themselves on Mariah Carey and Witney Houston, that would have been different and unique then for Pop Idol although not for the music world as a whole. Same with Diana now, she reflects a lot of popular music and the look of today, the zeitgeist, but she is unique only on X Factor. It's good that they have moved on slightly though.

People that think Diana started a fashion trend obviously don't get out much.

I have been dressing the way Diana does since about 1984 on and off - depending on the weather and the job I was doing at the time, so have a lot of people - my hair is messy although I didnt know it was fashionable, Its just too tuggy- I wear shoes most of the time when I am outside - she copied the not wearing shoes bit from Sandie Shaw.
So I don't think she is unique I think she is just catching up. |

I am 16 and from hertfordshire.. and trust me almost everyone i know has the same style as her.. even i dress a little like her. The messy hair thing and the whole acoustic style voice is what all people my age are ranting and raving about.. so thats why i think she's sooo popular. She basically represents every single girl who shops in Topshop (which is a lotttttt !).

I think that's why she does have so much support because she dresses and is like one of them. She is therefore relatable to her target market who will stick with their support for her.

but that 'style' is everywhere, on every High Street at the moment.I'm somewhat bemused at the idea that Diana is 'unique' in any way just because she dresses in the style that's current at the moment.

and Joss Stone, Linda Ronstadt, Joan Baez, Deana Carter, Michelle Philips, Patti Labelle etc. etc. etc. - get my drift

She's still the best on the programme even if people don't see it as unique.

that look started in the 60's with the hippys and flower power so no it is not new....but it is to xfactor, much better than the overdone dresses which make them look far oder than their years..
