its the same telly, I think they have just dropped the U at the end of it

The last letter is simply the country designation - U for UK.

In any case, ALL Sony sets in Europe are the same, the only difference is the mains lead supplied, and the language of the instruction book.

It's fairly common not to mention the last letter in adverts.
