Or only on here? she only has Daniel behind her in the odds to win with the bookies

I don't think she will win but I she will be around for a while yet.

Pay day tomorrow so might stick some cash on at 28/1.

I supose the key is if she ends up in the bottom two again and who with?

Yes if she's in the bottom 2 on Saturday then she isn't as popular as certain people would think

I think she is.

Apparently her voting number in Week 2 was wrong so IMO maybe that's why she was in the bottom two. She was nowhere near one of the worst that week. Plus she's gave two great performances since then and seems to have risen in popularity on here at the very least.

Out of all the contestants Ruth is the only one who has blown me away, especially with her version of 'Purple Rain' and she did a sterling performance of 'Summertime' last week. She could now well be in with a chance of winning. I didnt think so before.

I think she is more popular with the male viewers to be honest.

When I heard that it was just a graphic fault I thought nothing of it but when I seen the video I realised it may have made a difference. It was as soon as lines had opened which is when I imagine most of the votes are cast.

That's when people are most likely to note it down, even if they don't pick up the phone right away.

Oh, and btw I'm a woman and I like Ruth.

I think shes less popular than this forum suggests.

Shes already been in the bottom 2 at this stage in the competition..meaning her fanbase is smaller than most of the others.

I agree. I don`t see any difference between her and Nikki from last year - both with huge voices and large bosoms on display

I think that she is she has more personality and is more likable than Niki, and her performances are interesting. I listen to the mp3s, I never listened to Niki.

That could have been because of the phone number error which probably cost her alot of votes.

She wasn't in the bottom two in Week 3 and that was with the phone number correct.

Purple Rain won her some fans which is why she polled more than Scott and Daniel last week but the week before, she would have been in the bottom 2 anyway according to itv spokespeople

She got more votes on here this week so Diana didn't run away with the favourite pole again. Seems alot of allegence switching from others such as Laura, Rachel Alexandra to Ruth.

She is the only other one I like, a bit different to the others

Sorry to sound harsh but I have to bring everyone back down to earth here. She's a fantastic singer, not th ebest one in the competition though.

But she will not win. Simple as that. In fact I think she will be the next female to go.

Daniel, Ruth and JLS will be the next three out.

Right now in Week 4 or 5 I think it's hard to tell.
The bookies is the bookies and it depends on how many voters are gamblers.

I remember last year I think that Leon at first seemed to be quite low with the bookies odds for quite a long time and many people kept thinking he'd probably be out the following week. So I think a lot of people were pretty shocked that he kept surviving and had apparently been regularly getting the highest amounts of votes for weeks,...according to rumour.

Not with the ones I know who all think she's dumpy and hard faced with bulging eyes.

In fact I don't know anyone who rates her outside of this forum.

She is nowhere near as popular as this forum suggests;

If she was that popular then she wouldn't have been in the bottom 2.... yes Puprple Rain was amazing; but aside this forum, there is no buzz about Ruth at all

Perhaps..........my works colleagues raved about the purple rain performance...and I very much doubt there on DS, as there not really technology savvy

but I agree. the hype on DS is rather different from what the outside think.....

But as we've seen in the past, some of the winners have been unpredictable....who thought Leon would of won? or Steve....

The week she was in the bottom 2 she was around 6th in the overall poll so the risein popularity on DS must be reflected generally too.

I definitely think the phone number mishap was dodgy. A similar incident happened on American Idol and that person ended up going home. The graphics are not done right before the numbers are shown and they had several hours to fix it but they didn't.

Yes, of course.

Dumpy? Hard faced? Bulging eyes? How shallow.

Imo Ruth's future hangs by a thread she wil have to keep on delivering because people don't win the show for one amazing performance they got to do it week in week out
