Because two of the finalists were missing

I have seen the performance shown a few times today on the news and it seems odd that two finalists who are still in are missing from the line up

It doesnt seem fair that they are not there

I think it was because Daniel and Ruth were supposed to walk out together, Rachel walked out of a different door

I think that's a good idea.

Gordon Brown just said in a press conference that he supports it and he thanked X Factor especially for making this single.

I think they should do it again, but really (I don't mean this in a bad way), what would the whole point be? Never mind the fact that it's already been done, but everyone knows it was mimed in the first place and if they had to re-do it then it'd just be plain silly to have them mime again, and I don't think it would sound anywhere near as good live. What would Dermot say - "We're now going to have a repeat of the Hero performance from Week 3, because Ruth and Daniel weren't there"? It wouldn't be as special and it'd just be seen as a cheap plug for the single.

I'd love to see it again, though.

He did say on the Xtra Factor that he wanted to arrange another date to redo the performance because of the Glitch........The final night is probably the most convienient, what with all the finalists being there to sing with the winner and all....

Simon said that he may arrange another performance which makes me think its all one big stunt.

1) Alexandra, Laura and Austin all knew to mime
2) The cameras are all planned right down to every last shot, they had no problem finding those 'covering'
3) If a door isn't working it doesn't take 2 minutes to get them around the set and on stage

By performing it twice, it means people are more likely to download it, more sales, more money for charity. I think it was done and planned between a few of them on purpose

Maybe thats just the cynical side of me, the things that DS does to you

You do make a good point... I was wondering how they all knew to cover Ruth & Daniel's parts......

But regardles... I think they need to perform it again - LIVE - not mimed - because it's not fair that not everyone got their moment.

I get what you mean...and I half agree with you......But I don't see Ruth and Daniel being too happy about agreeing to this.

I must be just as cynical because I have thought about it.

I don't see a problem, we've had to listen to Daniel singing live every week so far....

Is it just me but I can't hear Daniel's voice on the single anywhere?

Two faced Brown, its him that does not give the troops the equipment they need. There should be no need for charity songs we should look after the troops like America does. He should be trying to fix up the mess of the country he has made.

Yes they should all record again. This time it should be the'winners single' . After all they are all winners for getting a place on the x-factor.

That would make a change from the dire number one single by the winner for Xmas. It will sell much more than any nummber one they have ever had.

He sings for about a second after Laura's big "HOLD ON" about 3 minutes into it. I am pretty certain that that is all he does.
